Just in case I haven't been clear........ I would HATE this pick!!!!!!!

There is a lot of noise about Bridge and or JF or Carr falling to our pick at 20, can't imagine taking Garoppolo there. If he is there in the 4th rd then sure take a flyer on him.

I live in Charleston, Illinois. Home of EIU, which produced Shanahan, Peyton, Romo and now Garoppolo. He is better than Romo and has a better skill set with more upside. I would be happy with Pryor at #20 but I think Garoppolo will be a franchise quarterback. He made noise all year in 1AA and I would love to see him in Cardinal Red. Although, he is a die hard Bears fan.

It may take a couple of years, but I believe in Jimmy just as much as you do. If the Saints had the balls, they would draft this kid in Rd 1 & let him learn a few years under Bree's & Payton and I don't think their offense would miss a beat.

The 3 QBs whom I like most in the draft are Meziel, Garoppolo & McCarron.

But hey, Pryor is gonna be one helluva player in the league!!!

Garoppolo & McCarron, like both of these QBs. People dump on them for the opposite reasons, Garoppolo because he did not play for a big division school and McCarron because he played for one of the best Division I schools and citing his success was because of the talent around him. They both are one thing and one thing which the Cardinals have ignored of recent drafting a QB... these boys are accurate. Garoppolo played at a small school and did what one who could have been a star at division I should do, he tore it up. QB is the most position on the field and McCarron was the QB of one of the best teams in the nation and managed the game but would also decide the game when a clutch pass was needed. I also like Murray out of Georgia a lot

The closer this draft gets, the wilder the QB predictions are becoming. Some of it is smokescreen, but it seems there is no real consensus when you don't have a surefire franchise signal caller like Luck.

I soured on him when I saw tape of how he handles pressure. Dude folds under pressure. Matt Waldman has an extensive write up on Garrapolo's poor play when the play breaks down. Shockingly bad.

Handling pressure is one of those things that I think it's tough for a QB to develop. Most of the great ones showed signs early on that they could handle it. Maybe Garappolo develops the ability, but as of now, he's not very good at it.

I also saw plays in those sequences where he made plays despite the pressure. Remember, a pass rush is any QBs kryptonite...even the great ones!!!

Didn't Peyton Manning stink in the SB against the Hawks ferocious pash rush? I guess he sucks too. How did Warner perform against the Aints in the 2009 playoffs when they blitz him to death? How did great was Brady against the Giants in SB games...twice?

I'm not saying I'm right or you're wrong about the guy, but any scout or draft guru can drum up plays where a QB wilts under the pressure from a defense. IMO it's all about the total package of plays & limiting the bad ones & he total resume speaks for itself. Its called limit your mistakes & live to play another down. Thats what the great ones do.

The best value QB in this draft is Aaron Murray out of Georgia. His acl and size is keeping him from being a first round pick.
