I'll hope for the best, but expect the worst.

Watt could give the team a real emotional boost going into the playoffs. The perfect story would be that he helps lift the team and carries them to an NFC Championship, and then Hopkins comes back for the Super Bowl and has 2 TDs in a Cardinal win.

(Not going to happen)

sketchy to me that ‘4-6/mo’ injury somehow becomes 2 months (surgery november 9th). I can see where a 4-6/mo recovery becomes 3.5 months with hard work and toughness but 2 months?

Im guessing part of the recovery time table is based on making sure its fulky healed so it doesnt alter their future career and im guessing JJ just doesnt care about the future of his career at this point…

Does anybody know if the have to designate him to return before the end of the regular season, so he would be eligible for the playoffs?

: "He won't play this week...it's procedural...it's time to get him back out w/the guys...he's attacked the rehab...and it's been awe-inspiring to watch him every day."

That seems to imply that he needs to be activated before the end of the season to have any chance. If that is the case and we make it all the way to the SB, do we need to do the same with D-Hop so he has a chance to play?

People need to stop looking at average recovery times and realise these guys have access to the best drugs available and the NFL doesn't really even care.

Remember Ray Lewis coming back for the playoffs 2 months after suffering a major injury? Same situation.

No the reason it's "procedural" is that he can't fully return to team activities while on IR. Once he is activated he can start testing out whether he is good to go.
