I don't even know if Skelton could play in the Arena League.

Both are inaccurate, Lindley is saved from an abundance of INTs because he is so inaccurate nobody has a chance to catch his passes.

Both suck and need to be out of the NFL

The entire team is terrible. Coaches have lost any emotional contact with the team.

Lindley 4 picks two returned for TDs vs Rams
Skelton 4 picks today.

Meanwhile guys like Chris Redman and Vince Young are available. Heck I'd even settle for AJ Feeley or J.P. Losman at this point.

I honestly don't know if either of those guys would start on top 10 college teams. Certainly not Lindley.

It's sad. Skelton CLEARLY has regressed - he was not this bad last year.

Let's be fair to the players. The Cardinals drafted both QBs and drafted them late at that.

The FO and coaching staff gets my ridicule.

cut both and bring Bartel back at least. He knows the plays, the players. And bring in one of the other guys too. Our team never adjusts on offense. Whether it's in-game, due to injury, etc. They never do ****...

I liked Bartel but dang Brandon he'd light it up in preseason and then get on a roll in a regular season game and then he'd throw a stupid interception.

at least he'd get on a roll before the stupid INT. Beats the 2 that get on rolls OF throwing stupid INTs

Lindley is a rookie but doubt he will last in the league. Skelton experiment is over.

yup. I think this season officially killed the "Skelton is the future" sentiment among many Cards fans

Skelton has gone so far south this season at the end of the game I saw him standing on the sidelines surrounded by Penguins.

He's not the worst of course but it's remarkable how he's gone from "winning" the starting job to being significantly worse than he was last season.

It's tough to predict how a player will react to becoming a starting QB, I don't think even the biggest Skelton doubters foresaw this.

he reacted well initially though. He looked every bit the part of a starting NFL QB in the 1st half of week one. Then he just died. Couldn't move the chains to save his life, got hurt, then never made a comeback... It's hard to even try to explain...

14-28 149 yards and one INT when he got hurt. Everyone seems to have forgotten but the game thread that week was all about how bad Skelton looked.

When it comes down to it they asked more of him this year, know the whole offense, know the formations the audibles the protections etc. He failed miserably at every part of that. When you don't know where everyone is supposed to be, you are much easier to defend which is why this year we're constantly seeing him throw into double, triple even quadruple coverage.

That picksix today people on the game thread were complaining about the play call. The WR was open over the top, the problem was Skelton didn't throw it OVER the DB(and there were 2 there) he threw it on a line, short, and Sherman had an easy TD. That's not a bad playcall it's a QB who doesn't recognize the coverage and doesn't know where the ball has to be thrown to protect it from the coverage. THat's 100% on him.

but what were his numbers in just the 1st half? I said he looked like trash in the 2nd

I've never been a Skelton believer man. You can look through my posts. But he really did give me hope in that 1st half. But ONLY in that first half

IIRC he had 2 good drives in the first half and that was about it but yeah he looked better in that half. Once Seattle figured out a few things they started sitting on certain routes and bringing the pressure on him and that was it.

The main thing is he can't read defenses and he doesn't know the offense so if the first or second option isn't open he will just force it in there anyways because he doesn't know where the other guys are going to be. I've never seen a guy who has this many starts throw so often to the first option even if covered.

Kolb is obviously deeply flawed but he at least bothers to learn the offense and the plays.

I don't know if it's coaching or what, at some point given the entirety of the problem across numerous NON Warner QB's you'd have to start to wonder at the staffs ability to TEACH.

Teaching isn't just about knowing the subject yourself it's translating that to the person doing the learning.

Maybe they're all just slow learners?

I don't think it's just the players I think it's something about the teaching.
