I don't know if it's coaching or what, at some point given the entirety of the problem across numerous NON Warner QB's you'd have to start to wonder at the staffs ability to TEACH.

Teaching isn't just about knowing the subject yourself it's translating that to the person doing the learning.

Maybe they're all just slow learners?

I don't think it's just the players I think it's something about the teaching.

Oh obviously there are huge issues with the coaches too but those INT's today were not coaching mistake they were player mistakes. When it's a rookie with almost no pro experience you chalk it up to a rookie panicking etc.

When it's a guy in his 3rd year who's getting worse it's hard for me to blame the coach. It's not that he's confused or overwhelmed by the complexity of the offense it's that he doesn't know the offense so if there are 4 guys in the route, he only knows at most 2 of them. So if the first guy isn't open, he goes to the 2nd guy and if he's not open, and he hasn't been sacked, he forces the ball to one of the 2 guys. The first 3 picks today were all examples of balls he threw to covered players because he didn't know what else to do. That's just not "normal" for a guy who has played as much as he has.

Sure, except again these were not examples of a QB being confused by the offense they were examples of a QB being confused by the DEFENSE. Whiz can't control the defense, he can't read the defense. He can't be in Skelton's ear during the game saying don't throw into quadruple coverage there go to someone else. That's Skeltons' problem even the balls he completes are often in coverage. He simply can't read the defense, and he doesn't know the offense well enough to know who else might be open and where they're supposed to be.

IMO he goes first read, second read, back to first read on almost every play.

At this point I'm all for firing Whiz at the end of the year. When the team quits on the coach you HAVE to fire the coach. I'm just saying those 4 INT's today were not bad playcalling or a bad system they were a bad QB. The past 3 weeks it was a bad rookie QB, now it's a bad 3rd year QB.

The defense quit because they saw how bad Skelton was today and just said this is ridiculous no matter which one of those 2 is playing, we have no chance of winning.

This is a key piece to our atrocity of a QB situation that's often overlooked. The QBs on this team obviously aren't the most talented in the league, but they're also being taught by some questionably qualified coaches.

Chris Miller had never even coached in the NFL before he was hired to handle our QBs. His entire coaching resume consisted of a two year stint as a head coach at a small high school in Oregon. But he did play with Whis on the Falcons, which could have something to do with the hiring. Then Whis decides to move McNulty from WRs to QBs for reasons I still don't understand. McNulty did coach QBs at Rutgers for a couple years, but he has much more experience with WRs. When you add in an OC like Miller, QB regression isn't completely unexpected.
