Forget who said does anybody believe Josh has the flu, it was on the game thread. NFL.com is reporting that Josh was getting IV fluids BEFORE the game, and at halftime he told Denny he couldn't play.

So he was really sick, not just mad he played poorly.

That's what they kept mentioning. They were putting jacket on him to keep him warm...

WTH, is he doing around the team, IF he has the flu. I saw him face to face with coaches, and Warner. You would think they would take some sort of precaution, so everyone odes not get sick. I could see if like Boldin was sick with the flu and wanted to be there to play, but your semi back up QB. Who isn't that great to begin with.

We just got back to OKC from Houston. We had a great time, the game sucked!!! We was at the team hotel Saturday night when Josh ,Kurt and Fitzs came in from eating dinner. Josh talked to us and a few other people in the lobby of the hotel. He was smiling and seemed to be fine.....At the game, After the interception I was looking for him on the sidelines. he was nowhere to be seen. I Thought he might have got hurt and had been takin to the locker room...... Ten minutes after the game on the way to the Cards Busses ,I saw Josh's mother and asked her about Josh. She told me "Josh has food poisoning" and thanked me for asking... I am not sure how much info she had right after the game.....We was in the family area under Reliant Stadium talking to the players and families, when Josh walked by, Sick as a dog, He had no color and no doubt was bad sick. He walked straight to the bus... I just thought I would share that with everyone. By the way Kurt told me Brenda would have the twins Monday.

I cant believe people like Russ or anyone even insinuate that the team would fake such a thing. their is noway McCown would go along with such an idiotic idea. It would be a career killer for him if it came out that he went along with such a dumb scheme.

Wasn't me, someone on the game day thread said they didn't buy it.

I just posted the IV part to show it was legit.

Why? Denny Green is the devil...he will do anything to manipulate the situation to his liking.

One could argue his career suicide was complete when he was the starter last year! :D

Didn't you say he was wretching on the sidelines during the game? That I'd believe, but if not for that it does look suspicious. It would not be bad for Josh's career for Denny to sit him down and say "Josh, we'll say you were sick" What sounds better? Being benched or being "sick". But if the guy was blowin' chunks, then the conspiracy theory is a little silly. "Josh, go act sick on the sidelines" Yeah, that wouldn't happen.

Would most certainly hurt his career. Would make people think hes to soft mentally to handle a benching and would make people think he just doesnt have the mental capacity to handle the toughnes of the NFL.

This was not drummed up. That much is certain. yea lets get Josh parents to go along with it as well.

First, I agree he was legitimately sick. Like I said, if the dude is tossing on the sidelines, it is legit.

He's been benched enough for people to know that's he can handle it :D But if Denny hands Navarre the ball and announces "Josh was sick" (and maybe he was sick, but they used it as an excuse when they pulled him), what's he gonna do? Say "No, I was fine" Then he's not a team player, yadda yadda. I just don't see how being benched and your coach serving the public a line hurts Josh. Not asking for a conspiracy. Just saying a coach says "You sit down because you don't feel well enough to play in the second half" what would you do? There is no conspiracy, it is two people. No need to get parents involved.

I have no doubt he was really sick. He would clearly want to play every snap he could as he is comming up on a make it or break it FA day.

Very good point. IF you have the flu you should stay as far away from the team as possible.

he had "flu like" symptoms, basically they said he had food poisoning so it wasn't contagious.

As soon as they showed him on the sidleine you could tell by how pale he looked(that's why hi-def is worth it)and out of breath that something was up.I have to admit, my first thought was that he was hung-over from the night before.

I am constantly entertained...

.. by the Josh haters in here. He is not the greatest QB we could have on this team, but he is nowhere NEAR as bad as some of you make him out to be. He had an opportunity this year to start a couple of games and he actually passed for more yards and helped us score more points than with KW...do I think he is better than KW? NO... just that all the BS that is associated with his performance LAST YEAR has nothing to do with how he performed when KW was hurt this year. Give the kid a break and if it turns out that he won't be a Cardinal next year... so be it, but my guess is that he (like everyone else who is abused while here) will turn out to be a good QB for somebody. He has ALWAYS given 110% when he had the opportunity, he has never had the benefit of a OL or a running game and he never quit...give the bashing a break and let's see if he can't find a way to win us a couple more games this year so we AS FANS can enjoy watching them.
