He does not have that cannon arm strength but it's more than adequate... but like him, he has the accuracy and the ability to read a defense :)

Yeah I’ve never understood the Rodgers comparisons. Maybe intellectually but they’re nothing alike from a talent standpoint.

I think his ceiling is Eli/Ryan.

sorry...... the guy I wanted just got taken by Ozzie Newsome, who has proven to be one of the best GM’s in the league.

With the last pick in the 1st rd. Maybe taking LJ at 15 would have been a huge reach. How many QB needy teams passed on him?

I liked LJ but I'm glad SK took Rosen.

meh, look at draft picks in years past and who really cares about taking someone at 15 vs 32. money really isn’t an issue anymore for 1st round picks

Warner calls him the safest QB in the draft. Just watched and interview with one of his WRs and either the kid is a good actor or he has genuine respect and admiration for him, not sure where the stuff about the team not liking him comes from.

I'm not talking money but perceived talent. Huge red flag that LJ has his mom as his agent. If we couldn't have picked Rosen then I would have liked us to get LJ but that was option #2 for me considering how high the other QB's went.

Love the pick strong arm. Very smart. Good measurable. Only a third and fifth wow. We have a young very talented guy who wants to be great. I like that! Good job Front office. Now a WR, CB, TE.

sorry but I am not happy with this pick. He seems like a less durable Jay Cutler. Not mobile, throws it up when under pressure, no leadership qualities to make teammates want to give it all for him, and his own coach Jim Mora Jr. said he would draft Sam Darnold first. Looks like an entitled prick that thinks he knows more than everyone else.

I’m just glad we only gave up a 3rd and 5th for him.

That said I hope he kills it and will happily eat a murder of crows if I’m wrong.
I'm with you, I'm disgusted. This has bust/disaster written all over it.

Why?

We just gave up an egg & a old dying hen instead of the farm & 2 horses to be named later for what is considered the best pure passer & prolly safest QB in this draft class?

This was a total gift & blessing that should help this franchise compete for the World Championship for many years! I think he’s better than Aikman coming out of college. Get on board we’ve got rings to win brotha

You do realize that Mora has always been a poor Coach right?

Who throws the ball up for grabs & turns it over like it’s a hot potato under pressure?

Think again

I used to think he was like Cutler as well, but there is one huge difference: Cutler is dumb as a box of rocks. Rosen isn't.

If Rosen plays like Cutler, Rosen is still worth it. People realize this the town where there was no QB after Plummer until Warner and had to endure Skeltons, Max Halls etc

A QB in the draft is always a crap shoot. I think the Cards did about as well as they good given where they were drafting. Trading up to get one of the top three QB's taken would have been incredibly expensive (none of them are sure things either) and there weren't any other QB's taken until the very end of the 1st round. Maybe he would have fallen to them and they didn't have to trade up but after last year, they couldn't take the chance.

I think Miami would have pulled the trigger on Rosen if he fell to 11. Tannehill is very expensive for the performance they've gotten out of him and I think one of two things happen if Miami takes Rosen (and why I think they should have traded up for him): Rosen either lights a fire under Tannehill and provides Miami with exceptional trade value (at least a future 1st rounder for whichever one they don't roll with) or sends him packing, with the latter being far more likely in my estimation.

The AZ trade by my lights looks absolutely genius. It's as close to a no-lose situation as you can find in the NFL--even if Rosen doesn't pan out, they gave up peanuts in comparison to what you typically see when trading into a position to draft what you hope to be a franchise QB. Peanuts.
