Huh. I would have pegged them for drafting a QB...but I would guess now that getting 2 FA QBs puts them out of the runnning. Cool.

Killed 2 birds with 1 stone, got rid of Josh clearing a Spot to draft a QB and knocking out a team ahead of the Cards from drafting a QB, Cool!!!

Good luck in Detroit, Josh.

I still think this will be a decision we will regret...unless we find someone to come here ahead of Navarre... Griese maybe?

Bye Josh.

You were a great Cardinal / Teammate.

But as a QB...

1. Houston Texans - Wont Take a QB.
2. New Orleans Saints - Wont Take a QB.
3. Tennessee Titans - Might Take a QB
4. New York Jets - Might Take a QB, but still trying to trade for Shaub.
5. Green Bay Packers - Wont Take a QB.
6. San Francisco 49ers - Wont Take a QB.
7. Oakland Raiders - Might Take a QB, Do they really like Walters as much as they say they do?
8. Buffalo Bills - Wont Take a QB.
9. Detroit Lions - Wont Take a QB.
10. Arizona Cardinals - That is only 3 legit chances a QB will be taken, 2 if the Jets can pull off their trade. We could be sitting at 10 looking at 2 different QB's to pick from. It also means a less likelyhood that Davis or Huff will be at our pick as well.

How about Joey Harrington as a backup?

We'll have effectively traded one "All the potential in the world, but never lived up to a shread of it" QB for another.

Best to luck to Josh in Detroit.

Any info on the terms. I hope it doesn’t come back to bite the Cards. If the price was right they should have kept him. But if Detroit wanted to pay him starter money then good for him.

Josh wanted to go where there might be achance to start, can't blame him..Good luck and thanks for the pass to end Minny season two years ago. Plus of course we wouldn't have paid him 4mil to stay.

I think they still could take a QB. IMO, Brees is no slam dunk. Also, coming off a shoulder injury. Unlikely they would take a QB....but in my mind they are still a might...or they might trade to somebody that would take Leinart.

I can see where you are coming from but they are not going to pay a guy a 60 Mill contract then turn around and draft a QB and pay him a 60 Mill contract as well.

Becuase of Martz OL schemes his QB's get hit and they get hit a lot. Which is why the Lions were willing to offer more then anyone else for a backup.

Tennessee - If Tennessee takes Leinart do the Titans look to trade Volek?
New York Jets - Hoping they finish the trade for Shaub because would gaurentee they wouldn't take a QB if they stay with the pick.
Oakland - The team released Collins but are still talking to his agent to re-sign him to a much lower contract. Almost regardless with Tuiasosopo and Walter both still being very young I can't see them getting another rookie QB, much more likely they'll want to bring in another vet to back up the young guys, don't think they'll go QB.

We can assume Leinart will definitly be gone, but there is a good chance both Young and Cutler are still on the board.
