Someone mentioned it before but you are rated and depending on how you pay your bill, order PPV, how long you have been with them etc, determines the type of deal you get.

Like I said I got $20 off month for 6months
$10 off a month for the hd access for 6months
Starz and Showtime free for 6 months
Superfan for free

It comes down to paying about $14.99/month for 6 months for all of the above. However I got a friend of mine signed up last year for ST and superfan and when he called all he got was the $20/off month for 6 months.

Being nice helps, but honestly it has more to do with your account with them.

Order more porn, that might help! :D

I have been a Sunday Ticket subscriber since day one. The price has gone up again this year. I called to see if they could do anything....like discount on HD package or anything. Keyy said nope, but she does understand my displeasure in the increase:doi:......so, I sent them an email......

I guess the term "loyal Customer" doesn't mean much to your company. Being a LONG TIME NFL Sunday Ticket subscriber, I kills me the number of price increases that you continue to charge. I can't even get the High Def Football unless I purchase your HD package. The TV in question is in our basement, and ONLY used during the NFL season, but you insist that I pay for HD package in order to be able to pay you an additional fee to receive the HD Football. Sounds like double dipping. As im sure that you are aware of, the NFL will be available in Broadband in 2012...so we will see if you are so eager to screw your 'Loyal Customers" over then.

2112? Not much of a rush...

I struck out with them. I called last night because an announcement came up in the guide about the 'new channel' 289. Its another crime channel my wife loves. It wouldn't come up-error 721 or something, so I called Directv.

They told me that channel was part of the 'HD only' channel package and it was another $5 a month. I told her I already pay for HD and Superfan and I was basically bitter about it and I should cancel the whole thing.

All she offered me was the 'HD only' free for 3 months. I told her to have a nice day and I'll see you later. So I got nuthin.

I signed up for free 3 months of the Crime HD channel and HDNET and a couple others. If you go online you should still be able to do.

I have been with DTV for 7 months this time around, and pay my bill one week late every month so I don't think that makes much difference. I think it has more to do with the person you get on the other end.

I just called Directtv, and let them know I orginally got DirectTV for Sunday Ticket and it was simply too expensive so I needed to cancel my subscription...

at first the lady offered me a $5 discount for 6 months "as the best she can do"... when I said that was not going to work, she transferred me to the "programming department"... There a guy came on and immediatly offered me the $20 discount for 6 months. I then said I wanted Superfan, and without any hesitation, he offered me that for half off... Grand total for SuperFan/Sunday Ticket- $225....

not too bad!

Directv is giving us a one-day only free access to NFL Ticket on Channels 701-717. So you out of town Card fans that have Directv should be able to catch the game tomorrow, at least this is what the email reads they sent me.
