And I m still asking to myself how Bradford did choose Arizona is beyond me, he said is loaded of talents
I see a roster with so many weakness
I dont see us trading up, we should trade down and get as much picks as we can, and please stop gambling on small school prospects

Martin was signed by giants and Williams is a chief

Yeah. I'm not super-enthused.

People wanna get twitterpated about 2016 and what's possible with a healthy David Johnson, but Carson Palmer threw for over 4200 yards that season, more than Sam Bradford has ever passed for in a single year.

Can you imagine if Jermaine Gresham can't play in the first quarter of the year?

Cornerback and receiver looks super suspect. Real bad. The Cardinals HAVE to sign some vets and add a draft pick or two to each group. Scary. ILB looks bad if Reddick makes no progres, but it's passable. TE is passable, but not great. I think the OL looks better on paper. QB....ok if Bradford stays healthy. DL if fine. Safety is fine. RB...The Cardinals could use a true backup to David Johnson.

The good news is that we have some young talent at keys spots as well at some premium positions. If we can get league average production out Baker, Humphries, Nkemdiche, and Reddick, the roster looks significantly better. However, that is going to be up to the coaches because none of these guys have shown more than flashes.

Where I get frustrated is that we have 18 mil invested in Bucannon and Veldheer right now.

Trading Bucannon would be a good move IMHO.I hope Cards keep Veldheer because he is still better than Andre Smith and Wetzel(solid backup)
and Vinston Painter

How is that a good move, his contract just became guaranteed at the beginning of the league year. If you cut him or trade him you have an 8 million dollar dead cap hit, the same as if you just paid him to play.

The three 1st round picks taken in succession and have shown little to nothing. Disheartening.

His contract is only guaranteed for injury. Technically, Bucanon could be cut at any time. Once the season starts, if he gets hurt he gets the full 8 million or if he gets hurt during the preseason. If he were cut right now, the Cardinals would free up 8 million in cap space. It honestly makes sense to cut him loose.

Actually it became fully gauranteed day one of the league year......
"The salaries are typically guaranteed for injury only and is effective until the first day of the 2018 league year, at which point the option money on the contract will become fully guaranteed."

Veldheer is gone. They are trying to trade him, but will cut him if there are no takers. Keim would not have signed the other tackle if that was not the plan.

Regardless, if they want him on the roster (and it appears they do), then they need to renegotiate to lower the cap hit. There’s no way they can look at DBuc as an $8mm / yr ILB even if it’s only one year. If they didn’t want him, then he’d already be cut.

At least with Veldheer he provides nice value as a good LT and passable RT. Not sure what Deone brings besides passion for the game. He’s way too small disengaging from Oline in the run game and can’t cover RBs or TEs against the pass. An occasional big hit isn’t worth $8mm in 2018.

I don’t understand this one at all. Very frustrating!
