We read that differently...

Suggesting Ross is capable of being a starter (what Urban said) and "hoping he can be productive" is not the same (what Whiz said).

I posted about that article being very misleading. I think Darren Urban mixed his interpretations into a story along with some quotes from Whiz.

You know the Cardinals. You know how they operate. So it isn't that far fetched to think that they feel they don't desperately need anyone to replace Davis because that guy is already on the roster in Oliver Ross.

This is one lucky dude! He walks into interceptions not because he can play, he picks up someones frumble and then runs how lucky can one player get. Most Cincy fans are smarter than your friend sorry.

I wanted to get his opinion on Kasveharn(sp.).He summed him up in one word- AWFUL.He barely made the team last year and then lucked into 6 ints. He's a good character and nothing but a nickel back that plays safety.

Now for Reggie Kelly, he said he hopes the Bengals bring him back. He's a great blocker and just an extra offensive lineman. Not much of a receiver but will definitely help the running game.

Keanu is not awful. Not by any means. He is probably not starter level, but he is a superb backup and in certain situations, like the redzone, he is awesome. He had too many game-changing/saving plays for it to be lucky. He has terrific football instincts, and true heart. Kase was not the problem on the Bengals D last season--he was one of the highlights.

This is kind of funny. There is something negative said about a potential Cardinal signee and the whole thread is about whether it's a valid assessment or not. But, at the same time, there's a good report on Reggie Kelly and there's not one mention of him  . I think Kelly will be the better signing of the two considering we only have Pope as a legitimate starting candidate on the roster.

We're going to HAVE TO take a LT in the first round. Seems we're banking on the starter coming out of the draft, so our pick is either Thomas (fingers crossed) or ...crap. His name is escaping me. The second best OT.

OTs are shooting up the board. There at 4 LTs in the draft that have more potential than any of the FA OTs this year. Question is, if they can play up to that potential.

Graves seems to be betting that they can.

It wsn't in 101 Football, either. Badda bing. :)
Ouch.

I've been rooting for the Cardinals since 1955.

My friends say the same thing...."you've been rooting for the Cards since 55 and you have a Ph.D.? You're the world's dumbest Ph.D. holder."

Like someone said....I may be stupid but at least I'm loyal and have just a tad bit of hope for next year....more than I can say for most on here.

I don't have a Ph.D, but I've been rooting for the Cards since 1962. I would have to say it comes more from loyalty than stupidity as my stupidity ended about 20 years ago when I realized I was mortal and could actually die (around my 45th birthday).

And also, like you, I have a bit of hope for next year. Negativity really turns me off. Life is short. Why waste it on hate for a football team that you supposedly love? Don't make sense to me.

Is this old timers day? Been a Cards fan since the late 50´s in Chicago. It is about loyalty and links to my past and my dad. Football is entertainment, and like Doc Cardinal I enjoy having hope. I´ve learned hope is good thing in life. GBR!

I hope my boys say the same thing in a few years!

Hope is all we have...well, until week 4 when they are crushed.

The guy has averaged less than 20 recptions a year in 9 years and his most was 31 like 7 years ago. He is no Endzone threat scoring 5 TD's in 9 years in the league. Hes just an adequate blocker as a TE.

Ill pass and actually take Bergen back.

having Alge Crumpler and bringing in Kelly, now that's what you call bringing depth. Some front offices get it. You don't think Green had a say in the front office? While he was here the Cards struck quickly. We're back to the older days when Graves would wait around, then bring a guy in for an interview, and then let him walk while they do a background check. I'm reverting quickly to my darkside, Rod Graves hating days. The guy is a bumbling fool when it comes to running any semblence of a football team.
