Banged up and all, he still has the longest reception for the team this season. Q has been productive hurt. Doucet has had more injuries early in his career than Q. If you want to replace Boldin, replace him with someone with speed. We've had possession receivers only for how many years now? Even Breaston isnt as fast as advertised. I love Q, and I like Doucet, but don't insult Q by saying Early can replace him.
that is not insult... its reality. I love Q but the writing is on the wall. Q is appraching his Cardinal career end. There is no way Cards are going to give him the kind of money he would demand especially since he remains banged up and Cards have won without him. If we get another WR via draft, fine but right now Doucet is shown a lot of potential and clearly next in line to as a replacement. However, I don't see us picking a WR high, we have too many other needs.

He's come along so slowly it's hard to say just exactly what can be expected of him. He's not the overwhelming talent Boldin was when he came into the league, that's for sure. But, I hope you are right and he really does replace Boldin to the extent of 100 catch seasons, Pro Bowls, etc.
all good... obviously there is no guarantee of anything but what little opportunities this guy's got, he has done well.

Well.... I would not want to lose Quan. But if we did.... Breaston is his replacement. Early would be Urbans... That is just my opinion. But have great depth with all.

Good point.

As for Boldin's early numbers it would be almost impossible for any new Cardinal WR to duplicate that. Boldin was a GAM playing on a team with a bunch of bums at WR. Nobody today would get that many chances playing with talents ahead of them like Fitzgerald and Breaston and Boldin.

It is a real tribute to the Q that he did put up those numbers playing on crummy teams his first couple of years. He could have been like other Cardinal players and pouted his way out of town and in many cases out of the NFL. He'll always have my respect for that.
