i think he is amazing with the bat, but i could field better than him in all honesty, its scary to watch him in the outfield on a pop ball, he never settles under it right away.

He is a natural SS. From what I understand, this is his first year playing in RF. I can see why they'd like him there - he's an insane athlete with a cannon arm. But he is probably better suited for the SS position.

RF, they say is the less demanding of the defensive positions.....like I would know......

I say, he isn't even old enough to buy a beer in a bar and he is starting in the bigs.....He will be fine....HE ALMOST HIT FOR THE BLOODY CYCLE!!!!!

I think he was playing CF in AA ball.

He'll get better in RF. He's only 19. A lot of the other young guys have made big mistakes as well. You have to take the bad with the good, and mistakes are going to happen with young players.

The guy was an infielder until he became a professional, and then he was a center fielder. I imagine he has logged very little time in right. The defense will come.

You don't want a hitter of Upton's ability playing shortstop anymore than your college football team wants their star wide receiver majoring in quantum physics. Less to think about in the field = more focus on hitting that little white thing with the red seams.
