I don't have a problem with this. I was in and out of the car today and on Mike and Bickley's show they played the audio of an interview with dansby. (Don't remember who the interviewer was) Dansby is talking about how the younger guys on the team talk to him and ask him questions and how he is trying to help them get better.

While I didn't hear the entire interview I think it was the same one where he said the dolphins are better than the '08 Cardinals. Taken in context it isn't that outrageous. It is him just talking about the potential talent of his current team.

IMO D-Wash > Dansby but that just show how good D Wash is. I liked Dansby when he was here and was sorry to see him go, but for the money he got I was ok with him going. There is no doubt that he had/has a big mouth but he makes a defense better.

He's just egging on a game between him and his former team/teammates. A little crap talking before the game. Nothing to see here, no need to get panties twisted.

he's freaking awesome. At least that's all I came away with after talking to the guy. He's one of the old school upbringing kids with manners and discipline that ALWAYS tries to improve. A rarity in pro sports, but not this team

Dansby said DWash reminds him of himself. That's probably the highest compliment that egomaniac can give.

There's an article in the Sun Sentinel about Karlos, basically talking about all the turnovers he had in the 6 years with the Cardinals and having zero during his two-plus years with Miami. He is still a tackling machine and FF has him as their #2 ranked inside linebacker. I just hope he doesn't start getting interceptions or fumble recoveries THIS Sunday.

FWIW, every team is more talented than the ones from 4 years ago and before. That's the way the NFL works; teams evolve and tend to get better.

What isn't important is the comparison across years--it's a fun exercise, I guess, but it's not particularly useful. What's more important is the comparison across the league. The 2012 Miami Dolphins are probably not as good in comparison to the rest of the NFL as the 2008 Arizona Cardinals were.

EDIT: I'll add that the Miami Dolphins are an underrated team. People end up just looking at the box scores, but they were the AFC equivalent of the 2011 Cards last year. They had an awful start and then somehow worked their way back to 6-10. They started the season 0-7 and went 6-3 the rest of the way. According to FO's metrics, the Dolphins in 2011 were superior to the 2011 Cards in all three phases of the game. Miami didn't have a better W/L record because they weren't as lucky as us in close games (1-5 in games decided by 7 points or less).

Let's clear this all up once and for all...Dansby thinks he is still with the Cardinals and he thinks this team is better than the 2008 team. End of discussion :)

Good, maybe it will give the Cardinals some locker room material to get fired up about. Because I'm finding it hard to get fired up about playing the Dolphins.

Miami is not that bad. And, they blew out the Raiders who then turned around and beat the Steelers who destroyed the Jets who had to go to overtime to beat the Dolphins. I'm not sure what that means other than "on any given Sunday" but I'm a long way from feeling confident going into any game.

Thank you Dansby for getting the Cards attention and focusing them just a little more for what could easily be a trap game.

The wise thing for you to do would have been to talk about how good the Cards are and how difficult it would be to win in the desert. You might have lulled them to sleep a little and then caught them off-guard.

But no, you are too much of an ego-maniac to think strategically.

Dansby was one of my favorite players during his time here. No doubt he was part of our turn-around. My only complaint was that he would never mention that he played at Auburn. He always announced his HS team during prime-time games.

Also, while most of my favorite plays while he was here involved him creating turn-overs. Odd that he only has 1 fumble recovery and 0 int's since he left AZ.

I suspect the 0 int's is due to him playing so heavy, and why our coaching staff is always on these guys to keep their weight down. Lighter=Faster and leads to big plays.

Go Cards!!!

Eh, I don't really look at "who beat who", that usually doesn't work very well in judging talent in the NFL in my opinion. The Dolphins are going to be bottom dwellers this year, they just don't have the pieces together to make it work yet. That being said, they are still pros and nobody should be taken lightly. I'm just praying the Cardinals don't take them lightly and if this quote by Dansby helps out in anyway, then great :)

I reiterate... Dansby's a bum.

Probably, but he's still a good football player. Led the Cards in tackles in both 2008 and 2009. Led the NFL in tackles in the post season in 2008. 2nd for Miami in 2010, Dolphins leading tackler in 2011 and their leading tackler so far this season.

Hopefully he'll have an off day Sunday.

Translation: DWashington is not better than I am or was.

Wrong.

Dansby said DWash reminds him of himself. That's probably the highest compliment that egomaniac can give.

Was gonna post what crisper said.

Personally, I don't care what Dansby says. You wear turquoise and orange ... TURQUOISE AND ORANGE ... now, Karlos. Thanks for the memories, but I don't give a Jake Plummer what you think, if you think at all.
