Why do people want Karney so much. What does he bring to the table that some other FB off the street wouldnt bring. I dont ever remember the guy being a good run blocker for the Saints. Above average at best maybe. What am I mssing here? Guys in the ELITE category dont just get cut.

Are we getting excited about the Name or the Player?

He simply did not fit the pass happy direction of the Saints, who need their fullback to catch passes and actually know how to do things with the ball in their hands, hence their signing of Heath Evans. He's much better fit in a power run scheme where he can just block.

He brings excellent run blocking to the table.

Great... so he can block better for our Pro Bowl running back! Wait, we don't have a pro bowl RB... We don't even have a fulltime starter at RB...

Yea - this is a perfect fit!

I went to school with Mike, and one thing I will say.. he earned every bit of his nickname "KARNavor"

He has always liked AZ, it doesn't surprise me at all that he is making his thoughts public...

I will tell you this, Karney is exactly like having a 6th O-lineman on running plays, He can take the MLB out of a play single handedly, and for a guy like Hightower, he would be PERFECT...

He is a hometown kindof guy., lets hope the Cards bring him in and see the majic happend

FB's are a waste of money and effort especially in this offense where they are basically non existent. Would be a huge wate of cap room.

So you don't want our starting running back, whoever that may be, to have some additional help?

For a team that wants a running game so bad, Karney would be a perfect fit.

The player.

Why he got cut ? Because the Saints are not going to be a power running football team. Not with Reggie Bush, Thomas, and ????. Plus they signed Health Evans.

I like Karney. Classic line up and smack the ---- out of the guy in front of you. He helped McAllister put up some big numbers.

I am all for it.

????? The Cardinals still need a FB to replace Terrelle Smith.

What does this have to do with the RB situation ?

Castille is more of a receiving back and a special teamer, and he sucks as a blocking fullback. We need a Karney or a T. Smith on this team (for cheap, of course) when the team decides to run the ball to kill clock

You're just letting the memories of Joel Makovicka :D cloud your judgement.
