From Peter King's column today: FMIA All Stars:

• John Brown, WR, Baltimore. Three 40-yard-plus deep strikes from Joe Flacco in one practice, two cleanly beating former first-round pick Marlon Humphrey. This is the player Arizona stole from Pittsburg State (Kans.) in 2014, and the player who had a few nicks in Arizona, causing the Cards to not commit to him after last season. The Ravens may have a steal in the young 28-year-old. He owned the practice I saw.

[[[facepalm]]]

Does this really surprise you? I always knew John Brown was a very good WR IF healthy. Bottom line is I agree with the cardinals that putting big money into him with the assumption he would stay healthy was not an investment likely to payoff.

If John Brown stays healthy all season, then yes maybe the Cards made a mistake, but you can't tell me that was a reasonable assumption to make 6 months ago.

JJ Nelson is making this team. He is our only deep threat, and if he is not contacted, he can make those catches. He just has to be used for that role only.

Butler basically only played in the last game where Glennon the worst QB on an NFL roster was in charge of getting him the ball. No WR's did anything in last nights game. Just going off his play last year, he should not be written off and will at the least be a good 3/4 WR for us.

There is no doubt we need to sign a good WR before the season starts. Dez Bryant would do the trick or bring Boldin out of retirement. We need somebody other than just Fitz. Kirk and C Williams can be the number 3 and 4 guys, but we need a number two right now.

JJ is fast but I would hardly call Brice Butler slow running a 4.37, or Chad who has recorded a 4.37 and a 4.43... those forty times are legit for taking the top off

If Dez was still “good” he would be on a roster right now.

I still believe that there will be One, maybe Two, new WRs on the roster before the season starts.

Listening to the Ringer NFL Podcast from maybe a week ago, it sounds like there are a lot of teams around the NFL looking for help at wideout. Could be pretty heated.

yeah it will be interesting to see who gets what from the waiver wire. Could be very competitive.

Not really sure how competitive it is when you just fall into waiver wire position LOL

No thanks.

Dude only got drafted as high as he did because of a spin move he did against Virginia Tech & him doing 100 hesitation moves to get open at the Senior Bowl against CBs in a very friendly-WR drill.

There is something going on with Corey Coleman that we don't know about, but if not, I would take a flier on him.

He came from Baylor & Baylor is known for WRs not learning much in their offenses. Josh Gordon the only one to actually make it.
