How the hell can one defend Keim after hiring Wilks, throwing away money at Bradford, Glennon and using a 10 th overall pick on Rosen and trading Rosen away (if it happens) and end up using the Top pick in draft on a QB with so many holes on the team?

And to top it off the DUI. I like Keim but his last year performance made this franchise the worst run NFL franchise.

Look, any sample size is going to be small due to Murray's limited experience, but he had ONE game where he played against better competition, and he crapped the bed when it mattered. He didn't look polished. He didn't look dynamic. He didn't look prepared. And all of those things occurred when the game was actually close.

Every highlight I’ve seen of Murray passing is throwing over the top to a WR with about 10’ of separation from the DB. Haven’t seen many of him throwing into tight coverage or threading the needle. While it’s only speculation at this point, it wouldn’t surprise me to hear that he’s awful on the chalkboard and a substandard leader.

Cards will be coolest kids on the block with two first round QBs and three Centers on the roster.

Cardinals are going to be bad to awful with Rosen or Murray next year. I don’t know that either one of them will ever be any good at all.

My thing is as a STH this team has been sooooo damn boring and borderline unwatchable the last few years I guess I’d rather watch bad to awful with something new and different with Murray’s style of play than the 40-14 loss at ATL type performances Rosen is almost sure to put up vs. most teams over .500 that I just smirk at on the ticker while I watch RedZone.

Just give me something interesting that I will actually care about one way or another.

Murray will be Cardinals Booker since the team around him sucks.

I've been a Keim backer for years but my support is wavering. This has zero to do with off filed issues and more to do with how the Cards are being run.

Draftwise: I'm not as hard on him as others. The only 2 huge mistakes I think he's made were Reddick and Niklas. The draft is a crap shoot and his record is ok. The last draft shows promise.

Free agency: His approach to free agency is not working. The bargain basement, injury riddled guys does not get it done and hasn't gotten it done. They need to add bona fide talent, not hope somebody reverts to their form of one good year 3 years ago. I saw a quick blurb on ESPN yesterday that over the least 3 years, the teams that spent the most in free agency had their win total increase by about(I'm going from memory) 7 games the next year. The Bears, Rams, and Jax were the 3 teams I believe. So spending on players DOES work.

GM'ing: Keim is the GM and needs to act like it. I'm not a fan of the Kingsbury hiring but am willing to see how it works. That said, KK, along with subsequent hiring of Clement, was hired to coach this offense with Rosen, who was the #1 pick last year. If Keim doesn't think KK can do that, he should have never been hired. To acquiesce to KK wanting a different QB is crazy to me.

2019 draft: This goes with the last sentence above. Taking Kyler Murray at 1 is a bad idea. I know I've posted earlier that I would take Haskins at 1 but I also know, and agreed, that it was very unlikely and not a very prudent move. The Cards knew they had the #1 pick when KK was hired, if they didn't have a plan, well that's another strike against Keim.

As for Murray, I have talked with someone, with no scratch in the game cardinals-wise, and( I'm paraphrasing), was told he has zero concept of an offensive scheme and is one of the least prepared QB's he's ever seen when it come to offensive structure, route trees, protections, coverages, etc. He's not remotely a Russell Wilson-type leader either. He excelled by being the best athlete on the field. That's likely not going to work in the NFL.

Is Keim really going to tie his, and the franchises future, to a 1st year coach and a playground QB and expect to be successful? I guess there is a chance for that but I think it's a longshot at best.
Your source wasn't casserly was it?! Lol

I saw Rosen complete more tight window throws in his first season as a pro than all of Murray's glorious season as the Sooner QB. It's not to say he cannot but he did not have to so one simply does not know (he does have the arm to one would think) but he also did not show the proficiency to attack the middle of the field that Rosen has even in college. Again, maybe he can but yet remains to be seen

So when McVay took over from a fossil in LA they should have dumped Goff for the next shiny thing ?

If there was a better QB, yes.

Do you remember what everyone was saying about Goff at the end of last season? He struggled pretty good when he didn't have the production of Kupp and teams starting putting pressure in his face. Goff might not be the guy in LA.

Personally I've never felt Goff was in the elit

If you read the Oklahoma reaction to the Alabam game, they basically got out schemed and it took them 3 drives to figure out how to attack Alabama.

Bama wasn't running prevent schemes, that's a flat out weak mischaracterization. And if running for 100 yards when the other team is scheming to specifically stop that isnt dynamic, then I dont know what is.

Some of Kylers most impressive tape is actually in the Alabama game because he had to throw into tighter windows and you saw that in the second half.

I also saw more bad throws from Rosen in one game than I did in a full season of Murray.

I've been pretty vocal against drafting Murray, we just drafted a QB this past season that I think is talented and built for the rigors of the NFL but unless the Cardinals are masterful in their disinformation campaign everything points to Murray being the pick. I hope if they do draft him he succeeds but if he doesn't--I mean in any way, due to injury or poor performance etc, it has to seal the fate of both Keim and Kingsbury.

If the move brings us multiple championships I hope they build a statue for both of them...but color me skeptical.
