Jairus Byrd on a 1 year prove it? We are sorely in need of a center fielder. Malik Hooker is #1 on my Cardinals big board but he'all be long gone. If Byrd is finally healthy he'd be a massive addition. Still better than average range and a very sound tackler.

If the Cardinals fail to get a running back in the draft, and Chris Johnson signs elsewhere, I would love to see the Cardinals pick up DeAngelo Williams. He is injury prone, no more than Chris Johnson if you ask me, but he can still get the job done when called upon.

I like a lot on this list

RB JAMAAL CHARLES 42 Would be a good choice, but does not want to be a back up. He might not have a choice though.
DE JARED ODRICK 50 Good DE
DE DWIGHT FREENEY 60 I know he is getting old, but he still has it. Let him sit out some training camp.
C NICK MANGOLD 66 Not sure how much he wants, but would make ouR Line very solid.
T RYAN CLADY 75 Injured a lot over the last 4 years, however would make a great back up option
RB DEANGELO WILLIAMS 90 Still has speed and would be a perfect compliment to DJ
FS JAIRUS BYRD 98 Hasn't really had a good year since leaving Buffalo. He had some amazing years playing center field though.

I think age has caught to a majority of these guys on the list, and of course that is what to expect with them still out there. Frankly, I see none on that list I would have interest in... these guys seem attractive as a name brand but not what they can offer now in my opinion

Question - Are Age and Injuries bigger factors in evaluating backup skill position players than they are evaluating backup Uglies?

I'm on the Odrick band wagon. Wouldn't mind Mario Williams either for the right price. We need a CB badly. Should have spent the money on one when their were some.
