I also read that we can rescind the tag at any time but can't use the tag then until next year. So if no teams make offers or the offers are 4 to 6 mil we can remove the tag and offer a more CAP friendly amount and see if he takes it. His feelings may get hurt but hopefully he says okay the NFL doesn't understand my true worth and I'll just have to show them again how good I am.

He can definitely get more than 8M guaranteed. Its just a matter of the years. If he takes the tag this year, he gets to be a FA again next year after banking 8M....but then hes a year older.

If we want to lock him up, I think we need to offer 4 years, 25 million with like 15 guaranteed.

TBF after the Falcons game he was on pace for an 800/800 season. Still finished the season as one of our top wrs. Probably would be a great pass catcher out of the backfield for the Texans.
