There has been so much written in the last few days that I do not remember talking about Clark at length.

This guy was a decent player at one time and I would think could help the suns on defense.

He is 6' 11", can run the floor, block shots, & rebound. I do not think he is a great scorer but we need defense.

I assume the suns had to put him on the roster and believe I read somewhere that the suns doctors are evaluating him.

Does anyone have current info on him?

It would seem that he should be ready to play soon from his injuries and operation?

I know, I know, the drug thing......not sure what the suns think about that.

I thought the rumors were that the Suns don't even want him to put on a Suns jersey or might even waive him.

We can assume he will not be back next year.

His drug thing for one, he has always had motivation problems, and he just missed an entire season with injury.

Also, if the suns resign him, then they loose that cap space, which is obviously very important to them.

I read a report that he might return as early as March 1.

I'm not holding much hope that he will even be given a chance to play. It makes more sense to give the minutes to Lampe and Dice to see how far along they are.

Both Dice and Clark are coming off major injuries, but Clark was never more than journeyman at best and Dice is a former all-star. Clark had personal problem while Dice's only problem was having Van Exel as a friend. :D

McDyess was considered an excellent player, but I do not think Clark was considered a journeymen player...........the Kings traded for him because he had some good years and played major minutes.

However, I am not sure if his injuries have hurt him so he can not play like he did before, and if the suns even care.
If they play him, they will be judging him for a contract next year.
A small one at that though.

McDyess has a good chance on coming back if he looks decent this year and will sign for the cheap for a year.

The kings signed him as a FA after Orlando backed off (after the drug bust)

He was signed because he was the best big man available to back up Divac.
