Move on. No way is he worth 1st rounder and AR type deal.

Makes me feel like the movie 'Falling Down' when Michael Douglas is told he needs to buy something to make change for the phone, yet the can of soda is 85 cents...thus not giving him enough for the phone call. (in 1993 fwiw)

It looks like Kolb is pricing himself out of the market. He might be a good QB but I can't see anyone paying him 60 million dollars to find out. I would take both Skelton or Matt Leinart over Kolb anyway. I would rather see us draft a guy like Kaepernick in the second or third round and have him and Skelton as our Qb's than give up a first round pick and 60 million for a guy that isn't proven and might not be better then them anyway.

I agree, Kolb isn't worth that type of money but neither is Cam Newton and he'll likely get a deal similar to that if the old rules are in place for this draft class, which I think they are. If Kolb were in this draft he'd get picked #1 over Newton easily. What did the Cards get for the 20-30 mill they spent on Leinart? QB's come at a premium price. After bonus and salary, didn't Derek Anderson make about 9 or 10 mill last year? Alot of the deal Kolb gets will likely be based on reachable incentives. Depending on structure, I'd have no problem giving Kolb a long term deal.

Based on Kolb's college career and draft process?

A team wouldn't trade the #1 overall for him but, if he was allowed to be placed in thsi year's draft, he'd be the unquestioned #1 pick. He's a guy that's been in the league for 3 years and shown the ability to play at a high level. He was the starting QB for Philly before he was injured and Vick played out of his mind. You have that going against unknown rookies who have never taken a snap or know if they'll ever play a down.

Hey that sounds familiar. Maybe if we wait until September the Eagles will release Kolb and we can get him for nothing. :D
