Kind of funny that Freddie Jones hasn't garnered any attention...

I remember we all thought for sure our problems of having a real outstanding tight end were over.

It kills me when we have players who we at one time thought so vital, get out on the market and get NO attention.

Someone tell me how Mili is an upgrade over Jones? If you compare their career numbers, it isn't even close. Jones has been twice as productive as far as recieving. Jones, in 8 years has 404 catches for 4232 yards, an average of 10.5 with 22 TD's. Mili in 8 years has 154 catches for 1674 yards, an average of 10.9 per with 13 TD's. In fairness, Jones has been used more consistently. He has played in 21 more games. I hope Mili is a devastating blocker, and if that's why we are courting him, for his blocking, I would be intrigued by the idea of Hodgins at TE. Can you imagine Hodgins sealing the edge?

You had to be motivated to write all of that down. Thanks, that was neat to look at.

Does Freddie count against our cap right now? If he signs elsewhere, will he have either a positive or negative impact on our cap surplus?

Zero impact. He's an unrestricted free agent.

Mili is fairly illusive against linebackers and catches the ball, but might not be the devastating blocker, as you describe. For Denny's offensive schemes, I think we'd be best with Anthony Becht. He's about three years younger, weighs about 272 pounds, and a good blocker.

I am glad "Floatin' Freddy" is gone.

I hope to never see another Cardinal's TE man-handled by a defensive back.

I can't remember seeing Jones EVER break a tackle or run over some one for the two extra yards...

I can remember seeing Freddy float through his patterns and never even look for the ball...

Yea. I am glad Freddy "I can't block either" Jones is gone.

One thing is clear from this list aside from Miami we are up there in scheduled announced visits.

I'm glad Freddie is gone too, but from a blocking standpoint, I'd rather have Wiggins.

Why have the Cards not brought in Wiggins, it pisses me off they have not brought him in, he is clearly the best TE available and he would not demand much money  Bring in Wiggins!!!!

I, for one , am glad Jones is gone.

He never lived up to his billing. He refused to block. When he caught the ball he ran like he was running through a yard loaded with dog poop and didn't want to step in any.

So, how do you really feel about Freddie?
