A matchup with the Kings (18-37) might come at a good time for Nash, who is averaging 6.3 points and shooting 29.6 percent since the All-Star break. After the win over Atlanta, Gentry said the point guard and two-time league MVP was “mentally drained” from a whirlwind week that included carrying the torch at the Olympics in his native Canada and winning the skills competition and competing during All-Star weekend in Dallas.

Hope Nash plays better today. Go Suns!!

Is there anybody else here who thinks one of the most exciting plays in basketball is a 24 second clock violation by a Suns opponent?

Nash might sit out for this game.

Nash nagged

Suns guard Steve Nash was told to take Saturday off but he reported for treatment of an abdominal strain that has bothered him since late January. After Friday's win, he said it was worse than ever and said he felt a "shearing pain" in the first quarter.
"He didn't have it right from the start," Gentry said. "Two minutes into the game, I said, 'We've just got to find a way.'
"I would not risk him going (Sunday vs. Sacramento) and further injuring himself. I'd rather him miss one game than five down on the road."

Gentry played Nash the whole first quarter and just to many minutes if he's hurting.

Nash, absolutely admirable, yeah amazing, with that injury of his. Extra effort on defense and on taking care of the ball, trickles down on teammates. Great! Keep it up!

I'll say it again, Amare's inconsistency early in the season was just about getting back in shape, getting comfortable with the glasses and the team being too jumpshot happy in general.

He has been in a beast in the last 10 or so averaging 26/11.

He ripped the last offensive rebound above Landry, by reacting faster than anybody, for the last 2pts. Early in the season, players like Landry, Hayes, Thomson gave him fit at rebounding. Compared to before his eye injury, his jumper seems off a lot, but he more than compensate it with his paint play. We scored 52 of our 104 in the paint!

I went to this game and it was definitely a tale of two halves. It was great to see a Suns win.

BTW, for all the crap J-Rich gets, he was the whole show last night. Huge threes and dunks. Heard the Suns are like 15-3 when he scores at least 20 points.
