No thanks. I absolutely LOVED the first one. Bringing Colin Firth back? No, just no. Great character, but they planted him in the first movie. Pass.

What if it's like a cyborg, you know, from the future... Brought back by the evil whoever corporation to kill the kid from Sing by perpetrating himself as Firth? :p

You really think we are that stupid? You bait US with these opinions! We all know it.

And then you take the high road. Right. LOL

So I'm personally baiting you by not wanting to see this movie? Lol yeah, sure. I'm that brilliant and devious. Maybe that's why you're constantly firing personal attacks at me. I'm opinionated, and my opinion is that I don't want to see it for the stated reason. You can be all high-and-mighty about it, but after all these years, do you REALLY think you're going to change my opinion, Chap? Give it a rest.

I am thinking some ridiculous explanation like he had a metal plate in his head or something. I just want to see more fight scenes like the one in the bar. That was incredible.

I loved the church scene! :madarms:

The Golden Circle seems a bit provocative considering how the end of the movie plays out with the blond Princess.

I'll wait for spoilers for this one. If it's not the unforgivable cash grab plot twist, then I'll go see it.

Lol. Do you really believe that ANYONE (either the people making this OR their audience) thinks Colin Firth is a cash-grab needle-mover?!

I don't think they thought so BEFORE they made the first movie, or they wouldn't have killed him off. Then they realized how much people loved the first movie, and him in it, and made a poor decision in believing they had to bring him back. And not just bring him back, but market it from the very beginning that he'd be back.

You've already decided the decision was poor? How did you come up with that?

No... the above assumes that this wasn't going to be a Franchise from the get-go. When a studio makes a movie like this they (and the writer/director) is PRAYING it's going to be a Franchise and plan accordingly. the above assumes so much without acknowledging that WB and the writers went into in PRAYING it would get a sequel.

and there's no point in not marketing him... it's almost impossible to keep a secret like that in today's digital age.

Resurrect the popular character in the next movie? A bad, bad trope, IMO. And, since that's what we're slinging here (opinions), mine opinion carries weight ;)

Did you boycot the Avengers and every Thor sequel in that case? Because Loki's died like 7 times by now.

Because in one it seems organic, and in the other it doesn't. Because it takes all the air out of the sacrifice of a top character secret agent, and doesn't for godlike comic book heroes and villains. Because I think so. Yinz aren't going to convince me to like the decision, or change my mind about watching it pre-spoiler, so why waste your time? lol I mean, I get it--it's fun to argue--but it's also pointless in this instance.

So is your anger.

And the idea that Kingsman isn't a comic book is ludicrous. It's based on graphic novels... you know... COMIC BOOKS.

lol Anger? No. Amusement, at this point. I didn't say it wasn't a comic book, because I knew it had been based on them. I referenced a different style of comic book, but whatever :)

Do we need to keep arguing about it?
