I think Kirk Morrison will be available after the draft, and would be a good back up for Gerald Hayes.

This is too funny, given the number of posters who were suggesting we send one of our third picks to Oak for him....

Beat reporter Jerry McDonald expects Raiders LB Kirk Morrison to be traded or released now that Rolando McClain is onboard.
Morrison signed his $2.51M tender last week, and the Raiders won't pay that kind of money for a backup. He can be had for a late-round pick on Saturday.

5th rounders seem to go a long way now days. Do it?

My bad! Well, if Ernie Sims was acquired for a 5th, Kirk Morrison should be had for a 6th.

I'd trade a 6th for him in a heartbeat. It would give us the ability to NOT have to reach or trade up for an ILB prospect.

Sure having a ILB corps of Hayes and Morrison would not be ideal but it would be better than Lenon and Hayes starting.

I'd trade a 5th and not think twice.

Agreed, particularly if we don't get either Lee or Washington in Round #2.
