Damn, damn big obstacle will be to get lakers to trade within conference. I dont think we'll be able to do it.

Knicks cant offer enough, so that leaves chicago. If somehow the suns can get to kobe and convince him to force a trade to the suns. point out that if he comes here those are almost automatic titles (at least 2), in chicago they will get to the finals but may not have enough talent, after the trade, to beat the west team.

That's probably the only way I can see us getting over the disadvantage of the lakers not wanting to trade with us. Or maybe if chicago holds out and doesnt give enough, i.e. doesnt want to give both deng/gordon, and we give marion/barbosa. If the lakers come out of losing kobe with gordon/ty thomas/#9, there will be plenty of outraged laker fans.

The way barbosa killed the lakers, may give us an advantage, because laker fans have a pretty high opinion of him.

You're right. Trying to keep him in conference is going to be rough. The Lakers will do everything they can to get him to Chicago, and I think that's really where he wants to be.

I think we help the Lakers more than any other team if they choose us, but it will be very difficult.

who would we offer to even have a shot at kobe marion or amare and we would probally have to throw in next year atlantas pick as well. But I would defintally do Marion, 24th and 29th pick, plus next year hawks pick for kobe anychance you guys think the lakers would do that trade? just a thought

I think the Suns would throw in as many draft picks as possible. Kobe coming here will cost at least Marion/LB + ATL's pick.

The market, and he probably realizes they are the only team other than the Bulls that have the talent to possibly make a deal in the eastern conference.

Again, I think it's easy to say this now, because I feel the same way, but I think people's tune will change once they can smell that championship.

with all the crap thats happend to us this season were due for something good right maybe this is it it will atleast give us something to talk about in the offseason. Lol but knowing Stern he would try and find a way to say the trade is unfair and will not allow it to go through I could see this happening...
