if he's in the game I'm pulling for him... but I in no way believe in him anymore.

I think Skelton is our man based on game play. After the practice I watched I would have told you that Skelton doesn't look like he should even be leading a HS team. It was the most godawful practice I have ever seen a QB have in over a decade of attending TC.

But in the end all I care about is best chance to win. But I will cheer loudly and be a "fan" of whoever is behind center on game day!

I'm with Shane. In fact while I've rooted for Skelton as the underdog and my wife is a Fordham grad, I feel sorry for Kevin and hope he succeeds either here or elsewhere. Also like Matt Leinhart and want to see him do well when he's not playing the Cards.

For as much as I rip on him, I'd be thrilled if he had some sort of enlightening and proved himself capable of leading this team to the playoffs. But... I'd be just as happy if anyone did that. But based on what we've seen I'd just assume be rid of him.

Have been hoping he could turn it around. However at this point I am sick of him.

Don't see anything but a bad ending so let it end now.

Am I the only fan left still pulling for Kolb?

I was all for getting Kolb, no secret. I pulled for him last year, I wanted him to start this year. I thought, when he was available we had to take the chance. He was the absolute best guy, in my opinion, with a long future (as opposed to plugging holes) that we could have gotten.

It wasn't his play last year, because I actually thought he played okay late. I wasn't like some of the dudes up in here saying he sucked even last year. That wasn't me.

Then I hoped he would show something this year. But after training camp no. Everyone says training camp doesn't matter, which annoys me immensely, of course it does, but I knew then if he didn't separate he was done. If he couldn't separate from Skelton in TC I just knew. I posted it, people ripped me, but whatever. It carries over to games. If he was better it would have shown. Everyone acts like Kolb had awesome TC over Skelton, but that's not what I remember. What I remember is no separation at all, and to me that's a bad sign, really bad. It showed in games.

So, if we're talking in my heart, I've given up on him. Seeing the actual preseason games, he gives me no hope heartwise. He doesn't instill confidence even on TV, imagine how it is being there live on the field. If he has to take the field then I hope he does well, because I want our team to kick ass and I don't even care who leads us. I just want to win. But he isn't that guy to do it. There's no doubt in my mind. Skelton could be, he's a bad ass mentally. Lacks some fundamentals, but he's a leader, and our team needs this. He may suck this year, especially without a LT, but it won't be because he sucks. Skelton wins games.

Not a fan... never wanted this trade. I want him cut. I will not root for him because I know he SUCKS and if he is on the field we are most likely struggling on offense.

I'm still on board, but I'm hurtin. Seems like I keep getting my head rung, can't breath cuz my ribs hurt and I can't walk away because I was payed soo much... I swear it's not the turf toe. I thought pocket presents was the ****** I got while scouting the NAU honeys. The only real thing I have in common with Kurt Warner is my strong (not Tebow strong) faith in God. They say 2 wrongs don't make a right, but I tried going left the other night, I got smooshed, and that was while Levi was still in there. I'm gonna miss his false starting fat ass, I just wish he could run block while I'm running backwards. Coach Whiz loves me though, I'm his last chance not his mistake. But I just wanna dance.

I keep feeling 2010 when everyone was ragging on Leinart. When Matt got cut in favor of DA, fans were cheering the move. This just feels too much like the same. Yes, Skelton had a lot of comebacks, but Kolb suffered a lot of letdowns on defense. I just see Skelton being the QB who successfully gets us to 8-8 again. Kolb, to me, has higher upward mobility, and I'd rather put my money on a soar or crash opportunity than a safe, but not great, opportunity.

Keep in mind, also, that the most impressive QB on the field Friday night was Leinart.

I agree with what you have said, except for the part about Leinart ... didn't you see the couple of ducks he threw? His receivers just happened to adjust properly. Matt really does have a noodle arm.

You know, it is just preseason and I have seen a lot of strange things which do not carry over into the regular season. Still, after seeing the few games Kolb has played this preseason, it is almost as if he has been cursed to be exactly what some people said he was (as Denny Green would say). I still have hope for Kolb, though it is scraping the bottom of the barrel at the moment. The way I see it, I cannot depend on the way I see it because there are reasons why scouting staffs and coaches thought highly of Kolb but I'm still waiting to see what the hell they saw now. I do not care who wins the position, if it is Skelton, then cool as long as whoever it is can be starting QB material.
There is one thing I do not get, people booing Kolb in preseason. First, it is a meaningless game and it serves no purpose to bang on Kolb's mistakes. Such idiocy will only make matters worse for him. In a real game, I can see the reason a fan would boo but there is something to be said for support leading up to the real season. Lastly, booing Kolb will have no effect on Whisenhunt...heck, if you do not like Kolb, booing might just make Whisenhunt more stubborn about handing the reins to Skelton because coach is part of this if it ends up being a mistake.

On that pick 6 Kolb said he didn't see the LB'er that made the pick. How on earth did he miss that? And how did he miss Heap wide open up the middle?

It won't matter who starts since our O-Line is going to get them killed.
