Quiet Kurt. If coach thinks you are the man for the job, you will be. Don't use the media to fight your battles.

I have zero doubt that Kurt is the right man for the starting job this season...
However, I'm pretty certain that there will be no competition this pre-season, and that regardless of how much Matty struggles, the starting job is his.
We'll just have to see how long of a leash Whiz gives him. How many losses is the team willing to absorb before making the move back to Kurt?

Come the first week in October, I'll be sure to refresh this post!

On Sports Center last night they did about 5-10 minutes on Matt Leinart. Showed him having fun at the parties, etc. but also saying that is ok if he is working out and doing what he should be doing during the week. Things like the weight room, film etc. They said this was sort of make or break year for Matt. The other top QB's that came into the league with him are all ahead of him stats wise in every category. Not just because he was injured but in performance. They said he looked to be a sure fire star in the making but now is going to have to prove it on the field. If Kurt is better in training camp then Kurt should start. He has earned it and done it on the field.

I'll take the Leinart vs Warner QB delemma any day.

It's way better than the

Jeff Blake vs Josh McCown vs John Navarre delemma we had a few years ago.

Portland Oregon these days.
Media/Parcells propganda.
They could go 2-14 next year and ESPN will do a 3 part feature on how Parcells instilled enough toughness into his coach & players that as a team they were able to improve by one victory over last year with a bright future ahead.:|

They're vastly improved because a 3 game win is 300% improvement over last year, and they play the Chiefs, Oakland, and the Jets twice.

Lets just hope they both play well because can either of them stay healthy for the entire season really? This is the Cards after all, if something can go wrong...

Watch Leinart run this team against the Chiefs in his very first game. Watch Leinart carve up the Bears in his second game.
The kids got what it takes. He is still going to make some mistakes and yes, he does have to kick it up a notch this season, but there is no doubt in my mind that Leinart can run this team at a playoff level.

I love our "dilema". Whatever Wiz decides, we need to get behind him and support him until a change is warranted.

I am pulling for Leinart, this team needs a franchise QB, I know that Warner is not that guy at 37. But it does not surprise me Cardinals fans want Warner he fits perfectly with what they have come to expect.

I think this is a pretty funny conversation to be having. When you look at Kurts numbers alone then its easy to look back reflectively and think
"Wow - those are good numbers....he should be starting"

And then you look at the games as a team we HAD to win. SF and NO come to mind. And in both games he cost us the game by turning over the ball. He is what he is. But you can't count on him and you haven't been able to in 6 years. He is the best backup QB in the league and I am glad we have him.

But everyone so quick to write off Leinart should probably look to the player that Warner was fighting off 4 years ago and realize that you can't tell ANYTHING about a rookie QB in the first three years. At least Eli had the benefit of not having to learn a new system. And I think Leinart as a prospect coming out of college is better then Eli just without the surname.

But i digress. I hope you guys refresh this post. But wait until 6 games into the season to do so.

If your a Cardinal fan you might think Warner is the right guy. But deep down your secretly hoping Leinart comes out with a chip on his shoulder and proves you all wrong.

And i think he will.

I think most fans want Leinart to win the job. But more than that they want the team to make the playoffs. Who ever can get this job done should be at QB. Clearly Kurt is not the QB of the future but for me the future is this year. Mats stats are poor at best but hopefully he will finally see the picture this year else we will again be looking for the QB of the future. This is not so much about Kurt vs Matt but about the Cards winning.

Very good point "must games". Don't forget the Tampa Bay debacle. Even the last game of the season, although we won handily, Warner threw 2 picks that just begs for an answer to, "What the hell was he thinking?"
Bottom line all Cardinal fans should be rooting for Leinart to step up and make us all forget about Warner. That is THE best scenario.
