He was on the radio and they were pushing for him to return.

1st off he didn't say no
2nd He sounded INTRIGUED

I think there's a 10% chance he could return.

If I was BA I'd take the entire team to Kurt's place and have them stand outside and say, "We Need You!"

It'd be one thing to turn down BA or Keim in person or over the phone, but the ENTIRE team pulling you may be enough to get it done.

He wouldn't have to play vs. Seattle. He'd have 2 weeks to get ready. All the games would be at home...no travel including the Super Bowl.

We'd only need you for 4 games.

This stuff needs to stop.

It took Carson Palmer and Larry an entire off season and 8 weeks of the regular season to understand this complicated offense.

There is ZERO chance an old, content Kurt Warner is coming back.

None.

You know if he did come back, the Cardinals would have to travel to play at New Orleans in the first round.

Why? Beat Seattle and you are home throughout the duration...It's very likely this team can still beat Seattle next Sunday, regardless of who is playing QB. I like the Cards chances with 10 days to prepare.

I dont know about very likely when we are talking lindley/thomas at QB. We cant run 85% of the time and beat seattle.

No way in hell this is happening IMO.

KW should stay retired. He may feel he can play but I am afraid it would be very dangerous for him to try. He has been out too long to be in any kind of "ready" shape to play in the NFL. Not enough time left for him to do it either IMO.

Stay retired Kurt.

If we get a first round bye I'd hope to bring him in as the backup and put him in if we need to.

I just meant that with this team's luck, they'd end up with a great record, then have to travel to play a team with a losing record and that team would be the one that essentially ended his career.

There is a 0% chance he returns. Come on people, the guy hasn't played a down in 5 seasons. They were just messing around. I bet Kurt would really love to play, he probably would have played until the day he died if he could but it's just not realistic.

Just like the Cards couldn't run on, or beat the Rams on the road last night? They were supposed to get pummeled...how'd that turn out? While Lindley didn't set the world on fire, he did lead the Cards to the same amount of points that Stanton did. Right now, this team needs to channel their inner 2003 Patriots (anybody remember how the former 6th round Brady played that year?)...the sum of this team is greater than any individual part, and I truly feel that every player on the Cards believes this.

The national media who doesnt follow us felt that.

I thought we could beat the rams, they arent THAT good. No way did I think we would be pummeled.

But for lindley to beat the seahawks? not gonna happen.

If this was the beginning of the season that would be one thing but now? Not much of a chance and that is assuming he has anything left in the tank.

On the flip side, if all your asking is for Kurt to not turn the ball over and just hit the open guy......wow. This team is screwed. Something has to happen because what is on our roster left at QB is garbage and inexperienced.

I bet there is a better chance he reenacts the Jim Palmer billboard than pulling a comeback attempt like Palmer.

Ditto. I heard the interview with Doug & Wolf this morning and he made it VERY clear that there is ZERO chance of him coming back. ZERO = NONE! ;)

New verse in the Bible: And then God said unto Kurt, Go forth and lead the Cardinals unto the Super Bowl, and this time, you will win it. And it will be good.

Kidding of course.

Wink to Monty Python fans:

Steve Keim to John Idzik: "Go and tell your master that we have been charged by God with a sacred quest. If he will give us food and shelter for the night, he can join us in our quest for the Quarterback.

John Idzik: "Well, I'll ask him, but I don't think he will be very keen. Uh, he's already got one, you see."

Steve Keim: "What?!?!?!?"

Bruce Arians: "He said they've already got one!" (*snicker*).

Steve Keim: "Are you sure he's got one?"

John Idzik: "Oh yes, it's very nice!"

If all that did happen the verse would be in the book of Warner Chapter 3 verse 16.

He's on the radio now .. said he actually thought about it, but not realistic to think he could play at a high level and help the team.

So ... NO is the answer.

If the Hall of Fame rules weren't in place (5years after retirement), he would be 50/50 IMO. I could tell listening to him yesterday that, at least for a millisecond, he had the itch to come back.
