He does not look a lot slower to me, simply more cautious when running and is getting dragged down more in the backfield while scrambling because he's actually reading the defense now looking to pass instead of just take off
Yeah I thought about the fact he may not jet out as quickly as he’s scanning the field. That might be a lot of it. But still, he doesn’t seem to be the lightning he was last year.

Kyler's build visually reminds me a lot of a small version of Steve McNair... he's compact and still fast, though he might have slowed a bit, but still fast and more importantly lightning quick within a box :raccoon:

I remember last offseason he spent all his time with his trainer. They specifically worked on extending his stride when he runs. I remember Budda Baker saying how Kyler came back faster for 2020. Seemed a little more like a normal offseason so he might not have got as much as he did before. Also he spent more time in Arizona throwing to his teammates. So it certainly paid off with his improved passing.

Or maybe he didnt spend as much time running.

I obviously hope he is healthy enough to play. However, if he's really limited, Hudson isnt back, Josh Jones is still starting then you might have to sit him the next two weeks.

That Panthers front is ferocious. You dont want them teeing off on Kyler as well. Let him come back for the Seahawks game.

I am freaking serious, the Cardinals can stick the Niners with a heavy dose of Conner... and wittle Colt 6 shooter is good enough to make them pay on play action then and that frustrating dink and dunk, beat the Niners at their own game and we even have Moore to do better than any attempt they can show at misdirection

I remember, like it happened three weeks ago, when many were wringing their hands about Kylers shoulder and wanting to forfeit the Browns game. It was soooooo scary!

The entire sequence at the end was bad. With less than a minute left, 3 of our last 4 plays were running plays, chewing up timeouts and forcing us into a throw only situation on that last play.
I was honestly a fan of this... don't want to give Rodgers any time left and it would've worked perfectly if not for 1 boneheaded play.

Uh Rodgers had none of top 3 targets and just lost his TE. They werent throwing over the top on for 7 points. They had no timeouts left.

Hope Kyler gets better sooner rather than later. With that being said, Colt is a capable back up when he's playing well so we will just have to hope he has learned enough of the system to play well.

I'm convinced they were rushing that play thinking Kyler was short and it was going to get overturned on replay. So Chase ran for the first down but then for some bizarre reason we ran again.

The NFL.com update on him for my fantasy team says it's a "medial sprain" and he's questionable for Sunday but they hope the 3 extra days rest will be enough.

So I don't think they are assuming he's going to miss more than one game and maybe not even that.

They called a timeout after the Chase run. Then threw to AJ

Any word on Hudson and Garcia? Cause I dont know if you want Kyler lacking his lateral movement against the 49ers or Panthers. Justin Fields gashed them yesterday because he had to with the way the rush was coming.

They don't list OL's in the fantasy stuff so no word on either.

If I'm a betting man I think Hudson plays, he got injured on a dirty play against SF the first time so I'm betting he's going to be very motivated to play against them

We can beat the 49ers with Colt. Let Kyler rest, then its almost like 3 weeks off with the mini bye

I was pleasantly surprised by how McCoy handled the offense in the preseason. Maybe the team rallies around him.

Agree he can't run like Kyler and he doesn't have Kyler's arm but he's smart, he will have an idea where to go with the ball and what to do. So if he has to play, he should be relatively ok. You don't want to ask him to have to WIN the game just don't lose it.

I'm actually very content with Kyler running a truly "passing only" attack against the Niners. Especially if Hudson returns.
This, if Hudson’s not back I don’t want to see Kyler out there less than 100% personally
