Really impressed with how he and the rest of the team played in the 4th quarter. For the people who thought he’d take his ball and go home the second things got rough that would have been yesterday. Get this kid an offensive line in the off season and give him a fighting chance.

Murphy was awesome

I was undecided on him, for the most part. My concern always has been his diminutive size. It was obvious to me that he was pressing and underestimating the speed of the NFL players through the first 3 quarters+. Then, it began to click and glimpses of what he can be burst forth.

I thought KK called a putrid game for most of the game and then adjusted a bit and that helped KM.

My concerns, KM needs to learn to just throw the ball away. He got sacked too many times because he didn't.

Other than that, for a 1st game rookie he did OK. The game was probably a microcosm of how the season is going to go with a rookie HC and QB.

I still remain convinced that the record may equal last season but the play may be much better.

Some of the mistakes Kyler made can be attributed to trying to hard to make something happen. Home game. First game. Adrenaline. Was it a perfect debut? Of course not. But he passed a lot more tests than he failed.

This about sums it up for me. I watched the replays was impressed by his arm more than I thought I would be. His size is a problem but it can be adjusted for to a degree.

He needs to run a bit more at opportune times but I wouldn't teach him that yet I loved that he stayed in the pocket like he did. He's going to make people very uncomfortable even if he just picks super premium spots to run.

All in all for a rookie debut I was very impressed.

The offense you really have to give a pass this game, first game jitters, coach on a NFL learning curve, would of been easier on the road.

I am excited to see how the coaching staff learns and grows.

Overall I think it was big success just because the team hung in there and didn't quit when it easily could have.

Not sure I agree he passed a LOT more tests than he failed. But, I do agree with the rest of your take.

He started dropping dimes man. I mean perfect strikes, way way downfield. There was one to Fitz late in the game, about a 45 yarder that was just, wow!

The TD pass to DJ was right in front of me and was the most beautifully dropped dime I have seen in that stadium since Palmer dropped that ridiculous deep ball into John Brown's bread basket in 2013 against the Eagles.

Rule of 3's:

If KM did something unbelievable once, I want to see him do it two more times before he's proved that it's no fluke.

That said - he's played one pro game and has a good foothold on being very special in a number of ways.

One thing I hope he stops doing is throwing softballs off his back foot.
