L.J.Shelton wants 4 Mil.

Patrick McManamon, of the Akron Beacon Journal, reports Cleveland Browns OT L.J. Shelton remains unsigned headed into free agency. His agent, Vance Larimer, has exchanged proposals with the team, but doesn't see anything heating up until the NFL Combine. Larimer said, "We think he played well enough to establish himself as one of the top 10 to 20 left tackles in the league, and those guys are making $4 million a year on average." If Shelton is too expensive, the team could add a right tackle and move OT Ryan Tucker to left tackle. GM Phil Savage also likes the potential of Georgia Tech OT Nat Dorsey.

heh. So he's either the 10th best guy to play at his position, or the 20th best guy. That's a pretty wide spectrum considering that after 20 there are only 12 guys worse than you.

Its all agent talk. So if the 20th best tackle is making 4m per year all he wants is his boy LJ to make the same amount per year. I'm pretty sure though he's not the 10th best in the NFL. But I 'll give him a benefit of the doubt of being 20th or so.

In conclusion, since he was released by us. That means our left tackles are better than 20th in the league. or so if our backup LT makes less than 4m per year LJ doesn't deserve to be paid more than our worst LT on our roster. Other than that or our worst LT is better than him, therefore our worst LT has to be better than 20th in the league.
