I think losing Odom is huge for them and we get our act together. I expect a win by at least 10.
hawks are looking pretty good right now playing the mavs their leading 83-79 with 5 min left
The Hawks have a ton of talent and most of the East sucks...the Hawks have a chance of being a playoff team.
I would think losing 12 of 13 in Phoenix maybe would tell you those matchups you like so much, aren't as good as you think they are. Or the fact that with Amare on the court, we've pounded you guys by an average margin of 12 ppg (which is a lot in the NBA).
Bottom line - Rarely do teams kill ANYONE with regularity, but considering we've beaten the Lakers by 25 numerous times and pretty much own them in close games are the reasons why you shouldn't have a good feeling about this game, even with Lamar.

Well, let's just not play the game then. No point, right?
Suns 2-0
Lakers 0-2
Thanks, I'll go read a book or something. Glad to know there's no reason to even like matchups.
Numerous times?
Two maybe? I guess two is a number.
(and now, with that being said, we'll probably lose considering my teams ALWAYS lose when I actually talk smack about them).
we've beaten you by 30, 26 and 25 in the last three seasons. How many times do you have to pummel someone over three years to make your point? Considering they're all NBA teams, I'd say three absolute ridiculous ass-kicking, along with multiple 11-17 point drubbings pretty much say those matchups you really like aren't as good as you think they are.
Your team is ten times as talented as the Lakers. The fact that the games are often close until late or close in general is a testament to....good matchups. On talent alone, you should put monster games on the Lakers every time. But you don't.
i wouldn't worry too much about it - weird things always happen in the first ten games and the Mavs just aren't the same without Howard. I also think they're new starting lineup is a mistake.
