Who is going to start the thread, "Does Igor Kokoskov know he's going to be fired?"

The problem is that McD deserved it. Kokoskov unfortunately has been set up to fail. Other than the language barrier issue, he looks to have the makings of a successful coach in the right situation.

This is like a practice for the Lakers. They are just going through the motions.

The Suns need to make a trade but they're in no better position to pull anything off now than earlier in the preseason/offseason. I would give up the Bucks pick for a DJ Augustine type of PG right now. I would ask if Ronnie Price filled out any retirement paperwork or not but he can't shoot 3's and other being a capable playmaker our PG needs to be able to hit open 3's. I almost feel for Canaan because he's not a starter and I think he knows that. He would probably be a good backup for 15-20 minutes a game though.

Anderson needs to be moved to the bench. If we're willing to allow our starting PF to contribute nothing on either end then Bender should be the starter. At least there is hope he'll get better. Anderson is done. If we waived him I don't think he could find a team to sign with on a minimum deal to help bolster their bench unless it was the Pelicans and they were doing a favor for Anthony Davis or something like that. He sucks and I'm starting to blame Kokoskov for Anderson's frustrating play. I know he's not making him play crappy but he's the one leaving him out there. Bender might be an improvement, at least he tries on defense.

I told you it was only a matter of time before Booker got worn out and hurt from having to do too much, but even I didn't think it would happen this quickly.

If Booker is out for any length of time, this team could have trouble winning 10 games this year...
For those who disagreed, 1Sun, here is the proof. Damn, it hurts to say we told you so.

Very short-sighted management. I can't really blame the Coach for this. He was given a roster without one single NBA starting calibre Point Guard. He was backed into a corner.

Absolute stupidity by Sarver and whoever his bargain basement General Manager is. Penny wise and pound foolish. Whoever posted that Sarver is not cheap and that he just doesn't know how to spend money wisely, the answer is both. He is cheap and doesn't know how to spend money wisely. Either one is a detriment.

I agree on Bender. We need more defense right now than offense.

Maybe our expectations are too high. Instead of winning we should focus on not losing by 20+.

I get that Ayton's defense is bad, but that's among the least of the Suns' problems. He's smart, he's attentive, he's patient, and he'll get it. Most of the rest of the roster is hopeless.

Blame Sarver, McDonough, that writer guy, or whoever you want, but this team has made mainly bad decisions for several years now, and it has caught up to them in a major way. Of course, every time they make another bad decision, and someone on this board points it out, that poster gets criticized for being negative. So I guess this is the Suns team their fans deserve.

I think we got fooled McDonough was drafting well. The talent on the Suns roster leaves a lot to be desired.

Best post I've read so far tonight. Sarver needs to relinquish control of the team.

Bridges should be in the starting lineup. Ariza and Anderson should be coming off the bench. Canaan needs to not shoot the ball and if he can't orchestrate this offense someone else needs to get a shot. He is horrible. Ayton will be the best player on this team and ROTY by years end.

This team is has no heart. No transition D at all. Sloppy hero ball with a ton of turnovers. No one bodies anyone, gives up easy second chance points.

Igor needs to coach fundamentals. To many mental mistakes. No effort. Its a pathetic display of basketball

Yeah, Ayton is one of the things I am not concerned with at all. This team has three NBA players right now- Booker, Ayton, and Warren. Two more who may be or become NBA players eventually, in JJ and Bridges. The rest are a has-been or two, and a bunch of "never were."

Everyone knew the Suns needed a point guard. This is nothing new. The fans are not running the organization.

How do you know that? Isn't it logical that spreading him over two positions causes more fatigue than just covering his own position? And that fatigue causes injury?

(A) He has been covering two positions. (B) He just hobbled off the court. That is circumstantial evidence. Or an unbelievable coincidence. Hell, weariness causes lack of sleep and traffic accidents. Denial solves nothing.

I hope this will be a warning to whoever is calling the roster shots to get one serviceable, experienced role-playing Point Guard to, as I posted earlier, D&D -- distribute and defend. And hopefully be able to hit at least a 12-foot shot.
