I think all this means is Anthony Davis hasn't been healthy because he is a difference maker.

Every time I put up a game thread it feels like a month before the game is played. There is so much media coverage before each game.

It may take some time getting used to the playoffs. Normally this time of year we are taking about the draft.

Suns simply can't let Gasol shoot uncontested threes from the top of the circle. It doesn't even take a big man to guard him there. He is not a player that will drive by a defender.

I agree. It may complicate matters, but I’d try to concoct a rotation on defense where a forward has gasol in offense, but if dives to the post that forward and Ayton swap. Mind you, it only works because gasol isn’t fleet of foot.

the bigger issue is that if gasol is playing at the arc, all remaining players are also primarily perimeter, so no matter what Ayton is likely pulled from the paint.

Interesting. Gasol hitting 64% on threes back to the beginning of April is a bad sign for us bc he will definitely pull Ayton out on the perimeter.

The Suns need to figure out a way to guard Gasol at the top of the circle. He is mainly spacing the floor there with good accuracy from three. I wish the Suns could get someone else to guard him up top beside Ayton. He is not real mobile or a threat to drive by a defender. He mainly shoots uncontested threes in this position.

Yeah. We are agreeing on strategy. Suns need to switch to keep Ayton down low.

This is where we really miss a long PF who could guard him the post. He’s just too big for a crowder or cam Johnson.

It’s crazy how much the media narrative has spun between Games 3 and 4.

It would help for sure. Ayton can guard Gasol in the post some but he is too strong for him. Ayton needs to stay out of foul trouble. However, I think Gasol is a bigger threat as a three point shooter. This is where someone else could guard him.

True. Having said that? I have never heard so many positive comets about Booker and Ayton during a telecast.

I'd like to see Stix get some minutes but it's unlikely unless a game is a blow-out. The only game he really got significant playing time was the season finale against the Spurs.

Too bad Saric and Kaminsky have disappeared.

Although it might work. If Monty puts Saric in maybe LA will think we forfeited the game and stop playing??

Something tells me that Saric will have a positive impact on a playoff game. Maybe it's wishful thinking.
