Air Raid Warning!
I just had to post a comment and some thotz about Larry's appearance at today's media day. NFL Network carried live almost an hour of the Cardinals portion of the press conference from 2 to 3 pm central time Friday.
It just made me realize what a special group of human beings these Cardinal players and coaches are.
But Larry Fitzgerald really stole the show IMO with his humility, bearing, quiet confidence, overall decency and sense of humor. The EVT does have a story up about Larry that conveys some of this.

One person asked about the transition from Denny Green to Ken Whisenhunt. Larry basically said there was absolutely no question of his not wanting to play for Whis. He said the very last thing that Denny Green said to him before he left Arizona was, "You need to play hard for your new coach." And Larry has obviously taken that very much to heart.
I know a lot of us have sometimes questioned Fitz' leadership, but I think we have to realize that there are different kinds of leadership. Larry's kind is doing his job to the utmost and quietly going about his business. Larry Fitzgerald and Terrill Owens both have talent and are pro-bowl caliber receivers. But to me Fitz is the consummate professional and teammate. I mean the guy quietly hands the ball to the official after touchdowns. He very rarely protests a no-call if he is interfered with by the defender. He just does his job at a pro-bowl level game after game after game. He is a coach's dream with his competitiveness and passion to improve.
He talked about his upbringing and about his dad being a strict disciplinarian and how that had affected him and his brother (with his father in the audience at the presser.)
It was really a special treat to experience this hour of intelligent questions from the media and intelligents answers and explanation from Coach Whis, Karlos Dansby, Larry, and Kurt Warner. They also had Adrian Wilson at the presser, but NFLN cut away and didn't carry his portion.
I know Donavan McNabb is a class act, but these Cardinals are really special IMO. I hope America adopts them and they reward their loyal fans this Sunday and go on to hoist the Lombardi in Tampa on February 1.
