I guess not, Wayne Selden and Dillon Brooks. Don't know what to think about those two.

Brooks might be a good 8th or 9th man. Selden is G-League fodder. I actually forgot about George King, so we now have NINE shooting guards on the roster.

Rivers will be a guy who in his first couple games will snow people in a false sense of hope simply because he CAN look like an actual NBA guard, but my guess is he quickly falls out of favor, just as he has everywhere he's ever gotten more than a token amount of burn.

We traded an expiring ariza. What did people expect. Rivers is what you all say you want (35% 3%, can penetrate, 7 year vet) but um sure you had dreams of someone better dancing in your heads. It was ariza people.

And lol at bringing back two more wings! Though I like brooks.

Three, if you count Rivers, who is more a wing in a point guard's body.

It's been 3-4 years since Rivers has looked like an NBA guard.

It's not Dillon Brooks. It's MarShon.

If that's true, it actually makes the trade even WORSE. Dillon Brooks was about the only thing in the Suns' return that didn't make me :barf:

Okay, from what I keep hearing, James Jones is a very bright guy. I'm trying to find a reason to believe this is a smart deal and I'm drawing a complete blank. I know in college Brooks was always considered a "winner" type player and Selden was pretty good too but neither one has been very impressive in the NBA. And Austin Rivers is disproving daily that the old adage about being the son of a coach. He's Brandon Knight level stupid.

The second round picks go to the Wizards.

Oh so, "Marshon" Brooks instead...

Apparently, "Albert" Brooks wasn't available, or we might have ended up with him.

The way this team is run is such a clown show. Seriously, Sarver is this generation's Ted Stepien.

As an NBA fan during the Stepien era, I'd have to say no way. He's Dan Gilbert, he just didn't luck into the greatest player since Michael Jordan.

All the players the Suns receive are expiring contracts.

It's pretty clear James Jones is just a puppet.

This is old school Sarver let's save 2-3 million sending away the best player in a 3 team trade and get the worst.

Pathetic I can't even express how mad I am

Yeah... Austin Rivers is a poor man's Brandon Knight... if you can even imagine such a thing.

Okay. The Suns are getting Dillon Brooks after all. He is a nice player.

This would also put us over the player limit... I think 1 or 2 players would have to be waived, no?

Heck, all three players from this trade could be waived and it wouldn't make one bit of difference. This appears to be a straight salary dump (and depending on whether we were the one to give up the second round picks, a pared down version of the Kurt Thomas deal).

Lol the reporting for this team can’t even be accurate. I like Dillon.

What is Memphis getting all this?

Maybe I'm being too hard on Ted Stepien. At least he apparently wanted to win, and all the stupid things he did, he really believed were helping.
