You didn't, I know that. You have been the most consistent voice on this forum about an Ariza deal, I think. I have no problem saying that either. There are definitely some people here who are quick to attack on anything this team does, or doesn't do, though and I don't think it's hard to see that.

Same. I'm GLAD the deal fell through. Doesn't mean James wasn't incompetent, both in terms of the deal he (thought) was being made and in terms of his communication failures during the course of the deal being made.

Fortunately, not really a problem for us in that Ariza knew well before this that he was being moved. And he probably had a lot to do with the decision to move him in the first place.

If you'd been watching ESPN, TNT or the NBA Channel lately you'd maybe understand what we're talking about and why Sarver pulled LA from the conversation. We've been ridiculed more over the Jones/Lebron connection than we have for our horrible record. And LA was supposedly having trouble finding a 3rd party that had interest in KCP, fortunately we weren't stupid enough to take him ourselves.

Sarver shouldn’t be excluding deals/teams based on what ESPN or TNT thinks. That’s the problem here. It’s funny that Suns fans really couldn’t have cared less about Chandler going to LA until it was speculated that Jones did Lebron “a solid”.

For sure. But truth is in something like 95% of these scenarios the suns have earned the attack.

Forget the Suns fans, it's just the wrong time to throw one more negative into the current Suns PR nightmare. Maybe if there'd been good reason but it was clear LA was not going to move anyone of consequence and nobody wants KCP.

At this point, I don't trust the James Jones/Robert Sarver combo to make a trade that doesn't kill this team. I really think we need to freeze all basketball personnel moves until we get a competent GM in place.
