Why all the surprise with Penny? He is a dime a dozen RB who bring nothing special to the table.

I felt he was doing well in his FB role and was gaining yards after contact when running the ball. He also did well in ST's but I get that he isn't going to the pro bowl anytime soon. I also thought they would keep him as injury insurance for Hodges but we did sign him to the PS so that makes sense to me.

I liked Holden. No one seems to remember that he started the last two games of the season. In the last one, he was mostly matched up on Michael Bennett. Bennett did not get a sack that day.

I think we are seeing a case where a new coach just wants his own guys.

And he was Swiss cheese this preseason.

Yea, he should be a happy go-lucky guy & never criticize a move the FO makes.

Well, there is a difference between a fans criticism, better described as likes and dislikes, and informed decision making by coaches who've just gone through training camp and four preseason games.

Cutting Bohem after seeing him play 2nd team O-line C in game 3 and being good is strange somehow, but who knows. We will see if he gets a job by another team or not.

And the moved back to Munyer in game 4. They may see him as a better C/G combo.

Declaring war on Head Coach and General Manager for failing to keep a backup Fullback on roster: https://www.revengeofthebirds.com/2018/9/2/17811548/a-penny-wasted-preaching-physicality

I am with him.

I am not because Mitch is going wacko again, and he does this with a player every year he likes as a sounding board to psychologically indulge that a coach is not as smart as him with regularity. I think it's smart to have two fullbacks when they play a prominent role but Penny is on the practice squad and they can activate him

I'm not aware of the number of drafted players that stick with a team but the Cardinals record seems particularly noticeable. Cutting Boehm really sticks out with the Cardinals needing a center.

Here are some excerpts from an azcentral article.

To make room on the roster, the Cardinals waived/injured defensive end Vontarrius Dorra and safety A.J. Howard released reserve guard/center Evan Boehm and tackle Will Holden. Boehm was a fourth-round pick by the Cardinals in 2016 and is now the fourth player from that Arizona draft class of six no longer with the club.

Of the 42 draft picks the Cardinals have made since Steve Keim took over as general manager in 2013, a total 24 are no longer in the organization.

I must say this shakes my confidence in Keim concerning the draft.

I don't get keeping 10 OL, especially because with the new kickoff rules they don't have any place there.

So our backup center can't snap the ball? I too am not understanding these moves.

Munyer was fine snapping the ball after PS Game 1. I still preferred Boehm, but maybe they thought Munyer was better backing up both guard & center spots overall.

Don't forget that they saw these guys almost every day, not just on game days. He stuck because he earned it, every day. They also picked up another G, I thought.

1000% this. We’re not in the meetings, practices, huddles, or weight room. The fact that Boehm was a center in college and never took a snap at center in the nfl says to me he’s not a center. Some people on here act like they know more than the coaches/GM. If you are, then why didn’t you apply to the position when it was available to be the head coach?

I was a big supporter of Keim at first but I keep getting more disappointed with his drafts. The release of Holden and Boehm for questionable guys is not good. It tells me the guys he drafted are worse than than other teams cast offs. If Nkemdiche and Reddick don’t step it up this year then I’m ready for a new GM.

I REALLY Like the Rosen pick and Humphries has played well when healthy so I’m not hating that pick either. Cooper had bad luck I think and Bucannon was just picked too high.
