IF AND WHEN HEALTHY...

ugh. I think I need a break. This thing is growing a mind of its own. Along with a head two feet and some wings. Now its Fitz's fault? Next thing you know were going to be blaming Obama!
I wouldn't be surprised if neither one was on the roster in 2011 ( If Levi is an UFA next season?). Matt is going to earn too much money.
Brown isn't even worth what he's getting paid now. The Cards have too many decent lower paid players to keep mediocre highly paid players like Levi.
Heck Levi has been so bad USA Today doesn't even have him on their list for 2009 player salaries. I imagine he's been standing around trying to figure out how to find the pay window
Ummmm lets just quit dancing around it and bring it to light......

This is Wiz taking the bullet for #11 who has bucoo leverage with a pending opt out (and no tag) coming up.
All the signs are there. No Twitter pronouncement backing ML. Cris Carter alluding to it. Fitz getting hurt in the first game.
I have said it a few times now, and even though its speculation on my part, you have to think if Larry WANTED ML (and that would make sense with them having four years of familiarity and ML knowing the offense) - well this wouldn't be going down like this.
And I believe the WR "choosing" you are referring too is Fitz aligning with Warner (who throws deep) and Boldin somewhat siding with Matt (possession WR).......
Its even simpler then that. Wiz wants to give ML a chance, but doesn't have much faith in him and is pretty blase about Matt's prospects.
Then a team leader and cornerstone says "Hey coach - we aren't going to win with this guy and hes going to get me hurt"....well then you see how this may go down.
Its not about the inmates running the asylum. Its about a guy that you look at as a stop gap QB who you didn't draft, alienating your best player.
Not a lot of coaches blink in that situation. They ALL blink.
Any coach who lets his players' opinions dictate his roster wouldn't just be fired, he would never have become an NFL head coach in the first place.
OMG do you all live in this world of absolutes? Do you not see how if THE BEST PLAYER ON YOUR TEAM DOESN'T WANT A SCRUB QB THAT AS THE HC YOU DON'T MUCH BUY INTO EITHER THAT COULD WEIGH INTO YOUR DECISION?
Jesus. Even if its inferred rather then overt, maybe Wiz see's DA's big arm and thinks "Well I need to get my best player the ball so......." thats allowing one player (and your best one) guide who ends up starting.
Thats not only not fireable in todays NFL - its common place.
IMO it's pretty obvious someone could intervene on behalf of Matt if they really wanted to, their silence on the issue speaks volumes.
OMG. It's Godwin's Law.First, it's silly that the tag on this thread is "hitler."
I really hope this is not the case. I would lose respect for Fitz and any player or coach that was involved in it. I have always felt it was more of a money thing and that would be front office but if it is this it would really suck as bad as it can get.
Been making this point for days and days now... ask Duck and our Canuck friend.
Ah, that's what you meant.
I am dense sometimes.
I thought you meant Matt did something bad but if that's what you meant I see what you meant.... lol
Picking a starter based on the skills of your team is very different from picking one because a player demanded it.
Yeah because that's exactly what I said.Well I gotta say its better then your explanation that Whisenhunt turned into an idiot overnight.
Thought I was being pretty clear... oh well. Urban's comments only cement my belief, that while in the end this is Whiz's call, that he did speak with a few key players and those players clearly stated their lack of trust, faith and confidence in Matty. I'm going with this until proven otherwise.
OMG. It's Godwin's Law.
It's a joke from the P & R board. Not really about Whiz.

Your post was too awesome to ignore.LOL, I can't believe someone did that, too funny.
Listen man my point is whether it was inferred or overt - Larry Fitzgerald was part of this decision. I firmly believe it. And he should. He's a team captain and our best player. This is the guy that throws him the ball.
I'm good but not good enough to have a tap into Wiz's offices and hear his and Larrys conversations. You do know they are pretty tight though, right?

Arguably, the guy with the biggest stake in the quarterback position is Pro Bowl wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. His thoughts on the QB controversy/competition? Fitz told this to ace beat man Kent Somers:
“I’m just a hired hand, man. I’m just a pawn on the chess board.”
Something tells me Fitz has his opinions
Urban mentioned him throwing a beautiful 45 yard bomb to Fitz in practice a few weeks back (which coincidentally Whiz waved off to "see how Matt responded." Which he "liked what he saw" )
That was to williams, not 11.
