If you feel Leinart has had trouble moving the ball you can't honestly feel DA has not had just as much if not more!

I assume you are referring to last night's game and not the first two games. Fromt the first two games I saw two things. I felt Anderson moved the ball better, but also was more careless with the ball, where as Matt had the opposite problem. And secondly Anderson was better at handling the blitz/pressure than Matt. And remember it was those two things that led to last night's Anderson start, not during the game itself.

So now if Leinart is cut, we are talking about a different issue. Matt would be a victim of numbers. They love Hall and Skelton, with Hall being a surprise. They will keep both and will have to on the active roster or they will been snagged. That leaves one slot for the two vets. So any potential cut will be the result of the rookies play and his contract. It is a numbers game.

Oh so your judging Matt moving the ball against blitzing starting defenses with little to no help from the OL and RB to DA moving the ball a little bit against second teamers with better OL play and Beanie and more help at RB oooohhh ok that sounds fair! Sounds like your sitting next to Whiz when looking at this situation wow what a joke!

Oh and Matt not turning the ball over against better D's than DA has played all the while being reckless and throwing picks, which by the way should be even more since a few were dropped! DA is terrible and had done nothing to prove he is not, if not for the young williams making great catches on POORLY thrown balls his numbers would be insanely BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I am. What do you think will happen week 1? That's the book on Matt. He will get a ton of blitzing.

And no, I never said Anderson deserved the shot because he performed against blah blah blah. I said he gets the shot because Matt showed the inability to handle it. So the option is explored. Twice last season he had to put Warner back in after Matt's inability to mop up a game. His audition has been longer than one year. The problem is the same problems he showed after his rookie season are manifesting during preseason. And it has gotten to the point that Whiz is willing to risk the lack of ball security to forgo Matt's lack of ability to handle the blitz. I truly believe that Whiz feels what he is doing is best for the team. Do you really believe he has a vendetta?

Agreed. But a punt is a turnover if you can't get a first down. I think that it is to the point where he'd rather take Anderson's bad than Matt's bad going forward. And again, it only hurts that Matt is a one year rental and he has 2 young QBs he wants to groom.

Check out the correlation between losing the turnover battle and losing the game. If you want to win you can't turn the ball over. It is something that is repeated over and over by all coaches. A punt is not the equivalent of an interception or fumble in most cases.

There is something about ML that Whiz doesn't like. I think that is pretty obvious. It's also plain to see that Whiz did everything in his power to put ML behind the 8 ball and everything in his power to place DA in a favorable position.

What puzzles me is why did Whiz/front office wait so long to eject ML from the team. I don't believe this was a last minute change of opinion by Whiz on ML. Why didn't they deal ML last year or the year before and get something in return for him and while he still had value.

I think as fans we would have been more accepting of moving ML earlier instead of the situation that exists now.

If the DA experiment is an epic fail I certainly hope Whiz is man enough to admit he screwed up especially if ML isn't on the roster come cut day.

He never admitted it when the run game went to hell when Edge ended up in the dog house in 2008. Edge finally started getting carries again in the playoffs and was one of the main reasons we went to the SB. I was never a big Edge fan however it wasn't hard to see that he did make the run game better.

Its not like Matt was checking down to a guy covered. He would throw to the check down that was WIDE open. Like no one within 15 yards. You would expect playmakers to turn that into something more often than not. Philly West Coast offense essentially.
