I've failed to understand why everyone was so happy to get rid of Leinart to begin with. I realize the guy had his faults, but fact is he did his time and deserved the shot to lead the team. He NEVER had that chance, because he was never Whisenhunt's guy.
Would he have been a world beater? There's no way of knowing. Even so, he would be world's better than the QBs Arizona's trotting out there now.
I don't fault Max Hall. He DOES have some intangibles that make him a work in progress, but he's just that.. A work in progress. I didn't think he was ready immediately, and still don't. Same with Skelton.
Problem is, the only other option is Derek Anderson, who minus one season, has been a career bust.
Leinart's gone now and there's no point in speculating what might have been I suppose, however honestly and truly were the Cards in that good of a position to cut him?
