Only week one of the pre-season under our belts and everyone is in top form. Well done! Wonderful to have something to talk about besides Darnell in the shower and regional covers.

To buy a shirt? We are not talking about a Mercedes here.

Sometimes there is a difference between a shirt and food.
Neither you or I know the circumstances, but I've been there.
Point has been made, he owes the man a shirt, let it go.

Leinart is the third most contraversial figure in Arizona Cardinals history...right behind Bill Bidwill and Buddy Ryan. But for the life of me, I can't figure out why. He played well, broke his collarbone, and was beat out by a future HOFer who caught fire and pulled off one of the most miraculous career comebacks in the history of the game.

For goodness sake, lets give the kid a season. As any reasonable football fan will tell you, He is the best Quarterback on the team this year.

Really, Mr Money Bags over here.

I don't know his situation but being in the industry that I am in I have seen lay-offs more then most. Most of my friends, most of my employee's, even myself for a time frame that also came with medical bills. When I got back on my feet I have had families live me for short periods. I can say without a doubt a silly little t-shirt isn't exactly on the list of priorities when you are wondering where the next meal for your child is going to come from or searching through your seat cushions to find enough gas or bus money to get you to a job interview.

Understood, but a bet is a contract. If you can't pay up, don't make it in the first place.

You talk as if you have never had hard times or have ever seen hard times before. You don't know his situation before or after the bet.

Being that its the money, I can get the T-Shirt for K9. We can all be a little more considerate of telling others how to spend their money during a recession.

Mitch PM me your address and link of what you want and we'll settle this as it relfects a little ugly on all of us to be so petty and taking sides. You earned it with the smart bet.

A bet on a messgae board does not over ride real responsibilities!

That is correct that I don't know his exact situation, but still does not change my opinion. If you can't pay a bet, don't make one.

It's been used...Elvis Patterson, I think. CB that got burned so often.....etc

Toast. Isn't that what we used to call Tito Paul?

But this new "Toast" has a different connotation so it can be used.

Not closing the thread but address the opinion not attack the person.

A few posts seem to have gotten lost from that

This is what makes message boards not fun. This bet talk needs to go. I don't post as much as some on this board, but it is my understanding that personal issues, especially sensitive ones, are not to be brought up in threads. Now I know it is my choice to be here, but this crap isn't what this board is about. I read this post to get someone else's opinion on our QB situation, not for an analysis on someone else's financial situation. Nor do I need other posters commenting on how that person should manage their personal lives.
