Leinart is the third most contraversial figure in Arizona Cardinals history...right behind Bill Bidwill and Buddy Ryan. But for the life of me, I can't figure out why. He played well, broke his collarbone, and was beat out by a future HOFer who caught fire and pulled off one of the most miraculous career comebacks in the history of the game.

For goodness sake, lets give the kid a season. As any reasonable football fan will tell you, He is the best Quarterback on the team this year.

eerie how accurate Mitch was. Sad that a few players concerned with their own stats can derail a QB's starting job.

If Q was here, NONE OF THIS WOULD BE HAPPENING! :D

More important, if things turn out as we suspect, is that Mitch was absolutely right in stressing that this whole issue should have been dealt with early in the offseason.

All of the to-and-fro has left us with AD going into this season.

Wouldn't Jason Campbell been a better option when he was being shopped, or Donovan McNabb?

And given what Seattle paid for Whitehurst, don't you think that a similar deal could have been brokered with Seattle to reunite Matt with his old coach?

Some will say, that you don't trade within the division; but why not, if the price is right and you've already concluded that Matt is substandard?

And this delay also affected how we viewed, and addressed the QB situation in the draft.

Graves and Whiz both received new deals in the offseason, speaking to the high regard for both by the Bidwill's. It seems to me, that they could have used some of this cachet to deal with the Matt problem.

I'm having a hard time finding the proper phrases or words to describe this situation, but they would range in the opposite of forward planning; competent management, and being straightforward.

Get's plenty of crap when he is wrong, so gotta give him props when he is right. Borderline prophetic on this one, Mitch.

Excellent job, however a more appropriate thread title would have been "Leinart is Totally Out".
