If any trade like that goes through for as long as Sarver and Kerr are controlling this franchise.

I'll suggest Oklahoma, that way we can root against Sarver/Kerr and get excited about our pick and the draft again.

My interest has been down dramatically these last two seasons thanks to Sarver and Kerr. Sarver is going to scorch earth this team, make what he can, and then sell off the franchise.

This is like the icing on the cake.

Fortunately the Coyotes have been awesome this year. Been spending my money there.

DBacks baseball will carry me till football season.

You grow up watching one team it's hard to change.

It is kind of hard to follow the team given that they're a fringe top 10 team and only going to get worse. That's a bitter pill to swallow given how good the '04-05 team was and the ridiculous moves that were made since then.

I agree about the Dbacks. Even though they finished 20+ games under .500 last season, there is plenty to be excited about (namely Justin Upton and Mark Reynolds).

They seem to have made some really intelligent moves and have a nice assortment of young talent.

I don't know what "support" means in this context. I don't buy Suns merchandise and haven't gone to a game in years. I get League Pass, but that supports all teams equally. I maintain a Suns message board that gets a little traffic. I follow the Suns more closely than other teams, because I grew up as their fan and will always remember being excited about their good years when I was younger. But I probably stopped "supporting" them in any meaningful sense after the Kurt Thomas trade.

This is a joke right? I couldn't care less if Sarver/Kerr trades Nash, Jackie Moon style, for a new washer/dryer. The Phoenix Suns will ALWAYS be my team. That anyone can even consider switching teams makes me sick. Just what I would expect from a Bayern fan.

This is the correct answer. No matter what happens, true fans can't just dump their team whenever they make a bad deal or place business over winning. If this was the case, the Cardinals would have NO fans.

I am as frustrated as most here about the direction of the Suns since Jerry Colangelo stepped away, but sometimes you have to ride it out and hope for the best. This is what has made Cubs fans so special.

That said, I am stoked about baseball season! Play ball!

Same. Anyone who didn't see the writing on the wall with that trade wasn't paying attention.

Unfortunately, he's not a Bayern fan. I believe he's a Hannover fan. Not 100% sure though. :D

People always wonder why Phoenix gets a bad wrap with respect to their fans... The first quote here is a classic example of why... Milgod, you seem to be a rare Valley fan. Good for you!

Exactly, I can never understand how anyone outside of Arizona can praise Phoenix fans. They're fickle as hell and rarely understand the business side of things.

I've lived in LA for 13 years now, and I ALWAYS get hazed by Laker fans, but at least I stick by my team. Do people forget that awful year with Marbury? Yuck.

Oh please I have been a Suns fans for more than 15 years, but what's the point of following a team as long as ownership and management are methodically destroying the team with no hopes for a future.

There is absolutely nothing to get excited about with the Suns except for the flashes Lopez is showing now more or less regularly.

If they are going to trade Amare away for nothing except a ****ing useless roleplayer like Hickson, what's the point of following this team at all? Next year will be even more unbearable to watch when we still have no worthwhile young talent, no Amare and still Nash. Wake me up when we win the lottery or get a high pick in a good draft so I can get excited about this team again.

JJ Hickson is smaller than Earl Clark, can't play defense, is a below average rebounder and has no offense outside of 5ft which he only gets because Lebron frees him up.

The whole Gasol trade is a masterpiece compared to this proposal.

I agree. The franchise has the responsibility to do what they can to field a competitive team. If they don't hold up their end of the bargain, the fans have every right to look elsewhere. The Suns have been one of the most profitable franchises in the league over the last several years; their fans deserve better than this.

Worst of all trading for the "young and talented" Hickson, rofl if I hear that again I'll throw up. This guy is never going to be more than a role player and on the other hand it says we have no interest in Beasley, but we are ready to trade Amare for Hickson? Just because Beasley smoked(emphasis on smokED) pot like probably half the league? Yeah lets take the much worse player, older player with maybe one tenth the upside.

The way Suns fans have been treated by the owners/management team sucks. I'm not going to defend the deals that have been made. I imagine things will get worse in the near future too. That doesn't mean diddly squat though when it comes to supporting your team. If you decide to hop on and off the bandwagon whenever you feel then you lose all respect from the fans that stick by the team whatever.

There are still going to be Suns players. They might not always be the best but if they put on a Suns top and try for the team they will have my support.

By the way, the Suns are still a playoff team right now even with all this crap. I would hate to see what you'd be like if you had been a Wizards fan all these years.

i'll always support the suns but this will be the worst trade in team history... We trade Amare for sorry crap... I mean Illguskas i know I didn't spell it right but bah.. and Hickerson come on.

Why not do the 76ers trade atleast that way we get a decent player in Iggy and a big man who can actually play a little defense in Samuel. Just wow if they do this trade I will throw up.... and be so upset but i'll still follow the suns cause i'm a huge fan. If I can follow the cards for 20 years of mostly horrrible seasons I can follow the suns through stupid trades and bad seasons as well :(. Please DON'T DO THIS TRADE..... I KNOW WERE NOT WINNING A CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR BUT YOU DO A BETTER DEAL THEN THIS CRAPPY F MINUS GRADE TRADE. I bet I wake up tomorrow and see that Amare has traded I know it's going to happen just going to piss me off when we do it sob!!!!

In a van...down by the river.
As i've stated, this is the first year since '88 that i haven't watched the games or cared about the team. I think that Sarver/Kerr are running it into the ground. I will continue to "not care" until this team is blown up,we get an owner/Gm that care, and a new direction in terms of building a team around something fundamentally sound.
If this thing is going to continue to be an offensive show pony franchise then i'm turning in my fan papers.

Is there anyway we can file some sort of class action restraining owner on Kerr & Sarver so they can't come within 100 miles of Phoenix or something? Why couldn't those retards just start a team in San Diego, stay home and run it into the ground?

I've followed the team now for 16 years and will continue to do so no matter what. I've watched every game since I've had League Pass. I support the players, not the management. Though I don't really support the team financially since I don't live in AZ and don't buy any merchandise. It is impossible for me to root for another team. But those fans who do go to games regularly can show their displeasure with the management by not going to games anymore and not buying their stuff. That's the only way that Sarver will get the message.

Been here since '83. Seen a lot of games when they were at the old Madhouse. Not so many since they moved DT.

The thing with the Suns or the whole NBA is, if your not in position to go deep into the playoffs, what is it your doing? Your mediocre. Granted were an above mediocre team, but not much better.

The teams that recognise their situation can do things to change it. The thing that the Suns FO mtl recognises is that it's time to change, to try and get better than above mediocre.

That means moving high priced talent and getting younger cheaper talent(s), that can continue to mature. At some point the fan base has to accept, to get better down the road, sometimes you need to move your best piece. I think that time has arrived in Suns town.

I like everyone just dont want to see them fleeced in the process, especially since it's likely to put someone over the top somewhere soon. Unfortunately with this team I don't see it being us. This team to get better doesn't have a 1st next yr. It will have to overpay again for Stoudemire for 1/2 yr. and then try and deal him again because they're in the same situation as they are this yr. , just 1 yr. older. It's time, but get pieces, not just one piece.

An organization that is not doing a good job needs to be sent a message, namely via the fans' wallets. A "diehard" fan that thinks he's being loyal by continuing to support the team fails to send that message and just reinforces to the owner that he can continue to run the team poorly without consequence. The fan just ends up hurting himself.

Exactly but to get better you take the deal that has the most value for the team, not the owner. *cough* Miami deal over Cleveland deal *cough*
