Educate us on who the starters are, who lines up where, their basic assignments, how good each is compared to what any team would hope for, who needs to be upgraded, and who would be the first to be replaced through a draft, etc.

Your outside linebackers on paper look to be: Chandler Jones, Terrell Suggs, and Brooks Reed. Vontarrius Dora is still on the roster as well. It is pretty thin at OLBer at the moment.

The inside linebackers are Jordan Hicks, Haason Reddick, and a bunch of guys that are going to fight to make the roster.

To play a 3-4 you need linebackers, the Cardinals have 3 good ones, and a very questionable 4th in Reddick on the roster. That also relies on Jordan Hicks, and Terrell Suggs staying healthy.

The rest of the linebackers on the roster, both inside and outside are very questionable. You take Chandler Jones out of the discussion and it is arguable it is a worse situation then the offensive line.

Hopefully, we address the depth issue with the second big free agency period coming post-draft...

We can only hope that Reddick gets it together, his development was stunted by the move from a 3-4 to a 4-3 last year...the coaching staff has its work cut out...

Man, the overall LB situation is scary.

Some form of OT/ILB/OLB should be our 1st 3 picks next year.

I think the Cardinals have good or adequate players on their LB depth chart.

Next year, LT should be the pick.

Meh.

Chandler the only proven good one.

Hicks is good, but a walking glass man.
Reddick is still a work in progress.
Suggs is retiring.
Reed is a journeyman.

That’s pretty damn bleak.

This will be one area Keim will target with the waiver wire. Remember not all waiver wire casualties are bums. There will also be players cut after June 1st .

Leading pass rusher active. Still logged a lot of snaps and was productive.

Best pass rusher over the past five years.

Hicks was healthy last year and played well.

Reddick was ok last year.

The depth isnt great but at least Scoobey isnt on the team anymore. And no more watching Buc run quickly to the wrong hole or getting enveloped by a guard.

I think Zach Brown or Jon Bostic would be excellent depth on the inside, the outside becomes more problematic with the available FAs...I wonder if SK is waiting for the first big round of post-draft cuts to occur?

I guess Shane Ray has "issues", Vance Joseph must be steering us away (which is probably a good thing) from him.

We also have that Tanner Vallejo dude we picked up off waivers. Six other teams put in claims for him, so maybe there's something there. Probably not, but you never know.

Good call...forgot about that.

Dude is a freakin' missile! Needs to tackle better but love the effort.

He will definitely make this roster.
