Pretty sad when Leanord Davis is getting interviewed by multiple teams, yet Brown can't even get his name mentioned. Further solidifies my opinion that Brown is pathetic as an OT.

The perennial playoff teams generally don't participate in the "mad rush". I wouldn't be surprised to see a team like the Steelers make him an offer after a few days.

I sure hope we add Jeff Backus at LT & a rook in rd 1-3 at least. We can survive with Bridges 1 more year if we have too

We can survive.... I don't know about Mr Manning...:D

They do on occasion and unlike some team I know tend to keep their free agents more than a year or two. Patriots signed Wes Welker March 5, 2007 for instance. But they normally don't need any free agents at all because they draft and retain their drafted players well.

Of course there were really only 4 perennial playoff teams: Patriots, Steelers, Colts and Ravens. :D

I would add the Packers and Giants.

Hearing Cardinals are close to re-signing LT Levi Brown. could move to right side, depending on rest of off-season

Is re-signing Levi our "chasing Flynn" moment? Cause it sure ain't a selling point to PM.

I could live with that.

I agree. Re-signing Levi Brown does not make me excited, but it does give me the belief that we may be able to field an average offensive line. I actually believe that David DeCastro and Levi Brown might make a pretty solid right side of the line.

...or maybe it's the koolaid.

The key in Somers comment is "depending on what happens in the rest of FA." Does this mean we are still in on Bell or someone else? With what's left I don't know if we could do better than Bell at LT and Brown at RT. More flexibility if someone gets injured.

If that happens it just proves how dumb we are IMO. Reach for an average OT at #5, then resign him after cutting him. Learn from your mistakes & move on!!! :bang:

Well he wasn't cut because of performance. He was cut because of his massive salary.

Levi Brown is not an average tackle. He is a mauler. And what he proved the second half of the year is, if the QB he's playing with can define the pocket, he can protect.

Best thing is....his best years are yet to come.

I like that the Cardinals are dealing with the offensive line in FA. If Brown can play at right tackle or guard, he fills a need. The key is if the Cardinals sign him for the right price.

I think he can be a good to very good RT. Now if we could just get a competent LT we will in business.

Mitch. I am with you. Whats with all the haters? Levi Brown at a reasonable contract is a great thing which gives us a much better line with far greater options. Levi Brown at Left Tackle..not so much. Who exactly do you all see filling our line? Lets lock him down, hopefully sign one more free agent and then see what the draft presents.

Same, Reddog. I heart Levi. I really do. I laud his character and he is one tough son of a gun. I don't care which side he plays---if he plays with a QB who defines the pocket as John Skelton did to the tune of going 6-2, that's fine with me.

I think the Cardinals are still very much alive with Demetrius Bell which could mean: Bell---Colledge---Sendlein---Snyder----Brown. Now that's what I am talking about.

Better yet now we can draft the best defensive player oj the board...Keuchly, Ingram, Kirkpatrick...or the best WR, Floyd, Wright or Hill.

I agree with the mauler part and believe he was a big part of the success that Wells had this year. However I still think he will struggle with speed rushers which is why he should be moved to the right side.
