This might be a dumb question, but how come noboby ever talks about moving Levi to guard? The whole situation seems very similar to the Leonard Davis story.

Not even close to similar to Davis IMO.

Davis actually played guard for us for some games. Brown never has.

I betcha Farva can play LT for us. I don't know if he has the feet for it, but he has the bulk :D Or do we NOT want a 'large Farva'? hehe

That could work...just tell Farva that the guy he's supposed to block has his liter of cola.

Because he's never played a down at guard, while Big had that experience before he went to Dallas.

I see. I was just thinking that if he's not effective as a tackle, but is a good run blocker, maybe you could move him to guard and see if he's more effective there.

30 games. 16 in 2001 and 14 in 2003. Davis also played RT for 15 games in 2002. Leonard only played 1 more game for Arizona at LT than he did at RG and RT combined.

Of course then BIG goes to Dallas and starts 64 consecutive games at Guard.

I think the Cards would like to find a guard - centre - guard ********* that pulls effectively. Levi doesn't have that type of athleticism, and it's why I think DeCastro is the pick at #13 if he's there.

i dont think they will look at offensive lineman in fisrt round..free agent wrs are too costly so i think they would like to select a wr in the first round ..the last year they were ready to draft aj green..this year is a deep class and we can get one between k.wright stephen hill and floyd or maybe a pass rusher but i think we will end up with kemeryon wimbley

I don't think they will either. Signing Brown and Snyder is strong indication of that. However, I never in my wildest dreams thought they'd draft a RB in the 2nd last year but they did.

Per PFT.

Likely to play RT and will still be in need of a LT.

I say bring him back.

Thoughts?

Bring him back. If not then who replaces him and is the replacement better.

Officially announced and seems like he was cheap enough to not have to do any sort of Cap Wrestling.

The demise of our cap was greatly exaggerated.

One reason I hope we pursue Wimbley or Tulloch. (I prefer the pass rusher, but either would help.)

does anyone have any idea what the numbers are?

without those i cannot make a judgment.

i continue to think he sucks. if it's for reasonable cheddar and he's on the right side and we upgrade the left, fine. if it's large money and he's still our starting LT . . . el vomito!

Did the Cardinals have to make any salary cap moves to sign Brown?

Like Shane stated, Urban said we didn't have to create room for him. Somers just confirmed it on Twitter. We could have kept Stuckey if we wanted to, we did not release him to make room for Levi's contract.

I love this move, and I'm stunned that they actually pulled it off

Yeah, I'm okay with him going back to RT.

In spite of all the grief the guy takes, he does bleed Cardinal red. In the final game of the season, he was the one who came to the protection of a teammate (can't remember who) who got a cheap shot and damn near broke the seahag player in half. Of course, he was the only one to get flagged but I thought it was great to see him do that. He was PISSED!

It was Skelton, and I loved that play. I don't care if he got flagged.

As of right now, Levi is the LT, for better or worse. Snyder plays RT/RG, and Bridges plays RT OR Hadnot plays RG. Sounds like Snyder is a better guard, so I'm guessing Bridges. If we draft a Tackle , perhaps Levi eventually slides to RT, but if we don't draft a Tackle, Levi is the LT for the foreseeable future. I don't see any more FA lineman moving forward, because we are OK right now, and it sets up flexibility in the draft.
