The one thing that probably irritated me the most was how he was double pumping before throwing. He had no confidence in what he was doing. That in and of itself tells me he isn't as prepared as we were led to believe. He needed to fire that thing in there with confidence.

I'm a little mystified, as well. If you listened to the Biggest Red Rage last week, the guys were talking about how confident Lindley seemed and that he ran a meeting with the WRs on Thursday morning before the real meetings.

What on earth does this guy have to be confident about? Do you think he throws absolute dimes all through practice?

I'll call it right now--Arians is an absolute moron for not going to LT. I'm not saying we win or keep it close with LT, necessarily, but come one. Lindley gave us no chance. NONE. 18-44 passing with a 47.2 QBR. Continuing to trot out an NFL reject that gives you absolutely ZERO chance to win is moronic.

I dunno. I think it's probably just a different flavor of terrible. That 1-9 performance against Denver feels very long ago. Extrapolate that percentage over 45 attempts and he's 5-45. Are you ready to endure some football like that? Even the one completion he made felt like a prayer answered by with a miracle.

Yes - I believe Lindley is a practice squad god - when he has complete mental grasp and no real defense to worry about. He is a smart guy, he looks decent out there until he throws a pass

You could very well be right. You probably are. At a certain point last night, we knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Lindley was not going to do anything positive. We didn't know that about LT, and we don't know that about him. Yet. He probably won't be good, but at least there's a chance

IDK, it's really not that odd. If you've played enough sports you know there are always guys who are great in practice but can't get it done in games. Then, there are those who don't really practice well but step up and make plays in games. The players called "gamers" by coaches.

Obviously, Lindley can handle the practice part of the NFL. He's been in the league three years with two teams, so he has what it takes to make a roster. But, he has failed miserably when it's for real.

He will. I think Chase is a very good QB and isn't much of a drop off from Alex Smith. I would rather have him than Stanton, to be honest.

What are you basing that on? It may turn out to be true, but there is absolutely nothing to this point in his career to suggest or support that statement.

Why would you rather have him than Stanton? He's a small, weak armed, timing based QB that would be a terrible fit for this offense. KC is probably the best place for him as their offense requires no passes more than 6 yards downfield.
