Ahhh, there's something magical about this part of the offseason -- when everyone goes off the deep end!

Well maybe if the Cardinals didn't go 4-12 or 5-11 half the time they've been in Arizona people wouldn't be so negative. 3 winning seasons in 25 years in the desert? Moses had a better record.

I don't think anyone else is calling you trolls.

Trolls to me are not really true fans.....just people wanting to start something.

To me that's the way you guys have always operated......you'd do the same thing with any regime.

It's your motus operandi.......the way you roll.

Sorry... Talking football isn't "starting something". Specifically attacking a fellow poster is.

When i thought this team was good for two years I was guaranteeing trips
To the Super Bowl and playoff wins against GB. When I thought they suck, I slam them. I don't come on here to start stuff. When stuff's good I come to celebrate an when I think stuff sucks, I come to vent. It ain't my fault stuff has sucked a hell of a lot more than its been good.

This has been for the most part a different franchise since they got UOP Stadium. They have had 2 winning seasons, 2 8-8 seasons and 3 5-11 seasons since they moved in. The stadium changed this franchise for a few reasons. It made it a more likely destination for free agents, players have been more willing to re-sign with us and it has brought in much more revenue so that the owners are more willing to spend to be competitive. Obviously we have still had some flaws over that time span and some of that success has to be attributed to having Warner, but I question if Warner would have even considered signing with us if we were still in SDS, probably not.

Warner signed with Arizona in 2005. And played at SDS. So that part of your take is wrong. 18-31 since the playoff win vs Green Bay. So That part of your take is wrong as well. All I see is the Cards being cheap again and setting themselves up for more 5-11 seasons.

At least the last 3 drafts have been solid and they actually spent some cash to keep Fitz and DWash and the most underrated player in the NFL in Campbell but if they are going to bring in cheap coaches and cheap players its not going to improve.

1st. That is true Warner did indeed sign before the new stadium opened, but I didn't say that was for sure the reason that he signed. It is possible though that knowing that the new dome was coming soon influenced his decision to come here (maybe not, but certainly possible).

2nd. When did I ever say that they have played well or weren't 18-31 since beating GB in the playoffs? I simply stated their records since moving to the new stadium and those are fact and not opinion. Also one of there non-losing seasons came in 2011 which was after that GB win. Even last year they were literally a few bounces away from another 8-8 or even a winning season and that was with an atrocious offense that most teams couldn't even keep games close with.

You can say what you want (obviously), but the bottom line is that this team has been much more consistently competitive year in/year out than they were prior to the new stadium.

Also can you explain the cheap coaches thing because I'm pretty sure they are spending a pretty good amount of money for the current coaching staff and this is while still paying for the previous coaches that they owe money to.

How long have you been following the Cardinals? They've always been competitive but somehow always found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. One of the amazing things about the Cardinals is the incredible ways they have found to lose football games. The franchise is so bad they have people like you thinking 8-8 is a great season.

I know it's wrong to call them cheap but it makes me feel better. The Cards problem is and has always been their poor management of free agency, letting their good players go because they cost too much and then signing an aging player for more than he's worth, having no clue as to what constitutes a good HC, and I have nothing to prove this, but apparently they are expert at creating an atmosphere where star players can't wait to get out of town.

Some of those seasons in the early 90's were brutal how close we were. I think is was 94 or 95, I am too lazy to look it up, but we had like 7 games were we lost by less than 6 points. It was some sort of record.

Exactly.

Ive got more confidence and optimism now that Arians & Keim are running this team than the last two years with Whif & Graves. Cant wait for training camp at UoP so I can watch what a real training camp is supposed to look like. TEACHING. Putting the players in the best position to succeed. Accountability. Cant Fn wait!

Mike Bidwill?!?

Nice handle; it really fits.

you could just as easily say they were a few bounces from 1-15. you are what you're record says you are and this team was atrocious last year.

That is a way more realistic view than saying we were a few bounces from 8-8 or whatever. We sucked, and we continue to suck until proven otherwise.
Take that, you... you... troll you.

Never said that was a great season (you're really good at putting words in peoples mouths aren't you?), but they are quite a bit closer to a good season than 5-11. 5-11 - bad, 8-8 - OK, 10-6 - good and 12+ wins great regular season. Unfortunately we are 5-11 too often and at least 2 or 3 more losses would give us a shot at the best QB in a draft that has a QB worth taking in the top 5. If we are going to tank for once this would be a good year, but I'm guessing we win 6-8 games this year and pick around 10. Which sucks because there should be some good QBs at the top of the 2014 draft.

I think it's fair to say that they have gotten better at keeping there top tier players since they have been in UOP Stadium. The unfortunate part is that they have been pretty bad at getting OL and QB talent through the draft so there isn't much talent worth keeping in those areas. Fitz, DD, CC, D-Wash and PP hopefully next year. Dansby was good, but not as good as the payday that he got and the same can be said for Rolle. Those are the biggest free agent losses we have had in recent history that I can think of and this team would have been stupid to fork out the money that those players wanted at that point in time. Boldin might be the only one that should have been paid that didn't within the last few years, but issues with injury and the salary of Fitz may have been part of the reason.

SEA W was very shaky. NE W was shakier. MIA W shaky. So, 1-15.

Believe it or not, the Cardinals managed to win 5 games in 2012! I believe that's whence the 2-14 derives. (Philly, Detroit.)

Just sayin'! :)

K-9 and Cheesebeef, -----there is a word that is used for those who come on a board and who seek only to speak negatively about anything and everything in the organization. That word is Troll.

No, a troll is someone who has no interest in board conversation and just posts crap to get a reaction.

Cheese was fine with his opinion. It's a discussion board. It's not the AZ Cardinals sunshine and kittens and balloons thread.

My argument with Cheese and K-9 has absolutely nothing to do with kittens and balloons. I has everything to do with their dissing everything that Keim and Arians have done, claiming that they were wrong to do so, and that K-9 and Cheese both know better how to run this team. That is total malarkey in my book. When I pointed out that they should at least be civil and wait to see what happens before they disrespect them, K-9 said that he had no intention of doing so. I am not advocating sunshine, kittens and balloons. I am asking for simple civility on the part of the posters.

Their actions appear to me to be very troll-like, and they have been doing it over and over for months now, with no apparent intentions of changing. They hijack a post, vehemently blast the poster for his comments, no matter how well founded or supported they may be, and then claim that they both know how it really should be done without supporting their claims except for saying that this has been a crappy franchise for so long that they are entitled to disagree with everything that anyone associated with it has done.

That, to me, exactly fits what you just described as a troll. Their interest is not in at all in conversation, it is merely in flaming. They constantly demand proof and links from the posters they disagree with, but when you give them the information to find the answers, they insist that you write it out for them. Their purpose is to argue, to denigrate, and to disrespect, and not to discuss issues civilly. I am not buying what you are trying to sell at all.
