My favorite thing about the selection is that it means all our "young" guys (gortat, Dudley, Marshall, markieff) have something in common . . . no athleticism. So we will be bad and BORING. SAH-WEEEET!!!

Gortat has no athleticism? He runs the floor extremely well for a big man. He doesn't jump out of the gym, but he's certainly not someone you'd put in the 'not athletic' camp.

Let's see if the Suns have the balls to trade for the pick and get PJ3 or if they will remain p**sies.

Warrick for Marion and the #24. Looks like Dallas is re-tooling this season, so they could use the savings.

Jose Calderon types are a more or less a dime a dozen, you can get them easily in Free Agency.

I just want to see the Suns take more of a risk and try to strike it big. Guys like Morris and Marshall aren't really NBA starter types, they're both fine bench players I guess. Its hard to get excited about that as your 'young core' going forward.

No they aren't.

If Nash is leaving I might want to bring in Wroten or go big with Moultrie.

He is not athletic. Average athlete... just because many centers are bad athletes doesn't make Gortat a good athlete.

I would like Wroten he has good enough size to play the 2. He is 6'6 bigger than Lamb.

Marshall and Wroten both can't shoot but both have good shooting form and can improve I think.

I'm turning off the TV as soon as PJII and Moutrie come off the board. C'mon Suns, make a move with your cap space!!!

I don't mind the pick but man who's he going to pass the ball to? We have no play makers at all. We have role players but no big name scoring stars. If Nash leaves, we will probably be the worst team in the NBA.

DraftExpress:
Atlanta is on the clock at 23, and we already know the next three picks (John Jenkins, Jared Cunningham, Tony Wroten). The information era

Jared Cunningham to Dallas
Tony Wroten to Memphis

Chad Ford has Wroten Jr and Plumlee going in the next two picks.

Still a shot that PJIII and Moultrie fall to OKC pick....

Moultrie and PJIII still on the board. I hope we are working the phones trying to buy a pick.

All these teams were supposedly looking to get out of the first round and not one has done it so far.

We were never going to get a superstar scorer in this draft, whether we drafted Lamb or not. Marshall can be the kind of point guard that runs a team--it's up the organization to surround him with guys that can score and defend to make up for those deficiencies. But the guy does have the uncanny Nash-like ability to see the entire floor, from baseline to baseline. Cautiously optimistic.

Tomorrow we will hear stories about how they tried to get another pick but just could not make it. Same story every year.
